Btw why don't you look for used OEM 14" ones. I think they are the best, they look pretty elegant plus you canesily find them for around 11-12K after giving your old rims........

Low profile tyre are not comfortable due to the roads structure here in pakistan.
one side effect I noticed, from 13" size to 14" that my Baleno is not showing exact speed and kilometer after changing the size of the Rim/tyre.
because after that when my car shows the speed 95 km/h. that is actually going on 120 km/h
similarly 1 km of my car is equal to 1.18 km. so people says that due to the big size of rim my car consumption is affected, but actual factor is that it shows less kilometer/speed in your car's speedometer.

How are you calculating the speed? I have checked some websites for the size and effect on speed was minimal

I was driving on motorway, with another car of my cousin who was on Honda, he asked about you are going very fast, then I asked him to go side by side then I have checked the difference (me-95 km/h and my cousin - 120 km/h) and at that spot I asked him to zero the milage from the speedometer at that spot, and when we reached Lahore my meter shows 233 km while his car meter shows 275 km
that was the way I have checked and also after that I have also checked on the web about the difference made by large size of Rim/Tyres.

Normally there is a very small margin to play around stock tyre size and that margin gives error of 5-10km/hr maximum in speed.
Error of 25km/hr means you speedometer is faulty. If you have verified your speeds number of times then get you speedometer checked. Considering 175-70R13 as stock tyre size, you need to have tyre of size 185-100R14 to get this error. Btw though JXR came with 175-70R13 tyres, actual caliberation of Baleno's speedometer is for tyres 175-70R14(which came in JXL and Sports) which means you need tyres of size around 185-110R14 to get error of 25km/hr which in simply not possible...
Btw what tyre size are you using? i'll tell you what error you should be getting or you can calculate using online tyre size calculator yourself...

When changing tire sizes, we recommend staying within 3% of the diameter of the original tire. Any more than this and you face the risk of brake failure.
