emulator is to dodge ecu by controling the flow of petrol and the advancer is to enhance and retard the timing of ignition.

    people from Rawalpindi and Islamabad,
can you guys plz share your views abt buying of spare parts (genuine and non genuine) for suzuki baleno from honest dealers.
like i buy my spares from kiani autos gawalmandi, but some one told me they also dodge you sometime.
I dont go to 3s cause they are way too expensive!
are there other good shops in pindi?
should i continue to buy from them!
your valuable input is needed please!
thanking you all in in advance!

I wanted to share some thing,

My Balenos Coils died, had to replace them, i was considering buying the kabuli/(scrap market ones) i called the guy they wernt avalible contacted some dealer ships and other spare part shops the coils costed 8,000 each and 2200 for the wires making it 18,200 for genuine ones.

My father went to plaza market so they might a little less costly, there he found out 3 types were avalible

    Genuine set 18,200
    Malaysian set 7,000
    Pakistani set 5,000

Scrap market set (used Genuine) 7500-8000

My dad thout lets give the Pakistani set a try, so he got them the car got back to normal more then 3 months the car was fine,

even serviced it ones, (altho covered the coils with a shoping bag, and dried them completly before starting her again.

Sold the car last week. Lets see how long the Pakistani set lasts with the new owner.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

its very common - they cut the positive common wire to the injectors disabling them.. the only benefit of an emulator is that your original wiring does not get cut up

Dont do that, infact switch to iridium plugs, and only ik-20

people would say that even in Corolla ik-16s are used, but Baleno is a waste spart system car, Iridiums are designed for such cars. If u use ik-20s youll forget misfiring. and coils dieing

The best air filter is of Guard, dont use other low quality ones.
Balenos genuine brake pads come around Rs.4500 (they last more then 70-80k kms) if used as they should be.

Oil filters Lippon/Guard as equaly gud they last the 5000kms service interval.

Other then that the 3S dealer ships have stoped backing Baleno parts, even if they provide some thing the price is so high that one doesnt even bothers.

Balenos suspension parts are often short even in the markets they mostly have to be sorced from the scrap market, even 3S dealers buy parts from scrap markets, (that are of actualy better quality then Factory installed in a Pakistani car)

yup thats the price, 2200 per coil that makes it 4400 and 600 for wires

Baleno should not have the check engine light on in any condition even on CNG, unless there is some issue with a wire or advancer, or some sensor

u r right yaar...i have read some where that irradium plugs are specially for waste spark system as the waste spark systems are capable of producing high voltage (almost double than the distributor system) so high quality plugs should also be installed for such a high voltage handling (about 35000-40000 volts)...BUT
have you used them???ever tried???its a quite big investment...what is the current price
