    Default Tips for Baleno

    i have a lot of experience of using and maintaining baleno all types of balenos.its really a marvelous car of suzuki.but little diffferent to maintain from other cars.if u have some problems discuss with me on this forum.B-)

    yar got baleno 2004 first time! now dont know how much engine oil is need that doesn't putt much pressure on pistons and also guide that witch oil should be used? i often used ZIC A for my other rides. will it work for baleno too??

    3.5 liter...any good oil you use in other cars, you can use in baleno...

    i have gotten almost same points...as the issue is generated only in low gears where car engine temperature rise a bit...normally i never felt any kind of over heating in my baleno...my office is at ferozepur road...one of most over traffic roads in lahore...some time i have to drive for 20-30 continuous in first gear due to traffic block but never even i felt any over heating in car...if cheema is feeling some over heating of car than surely its some thing related to radiator, head gas kit and associate accessories...car ecu does monitor the temperature of engine to keep it at nominal...so may be this over heating is sending some warning signals to driver

    Weak gasket may be the reason of such behaviour. As Cheema bro mentioned that car temp is not going beyond mid point, where radiator fan starts working, it means that there is nothing to do with radiator.....

    mansoor has recently overhauled his ride and for sure gaskit is new,most probably he need to re-torque his head bolts to get rid of heating issue but i feel his car is not over heating rather he is complaining about the electric waves which are becoming the cause of MIL(malfunctioning indication light).

    if...i quote again IF, torque was not properly applied while tightening the head...then there are 90 % chances that head gas kit is finished...once the gas kit is exposed to water or oil it becomes weak...so better to change it

    here our local mechanic dont change the bolts and i am pretty sure the tensile strenght of the old bolts and new bolts is totally different.
    Remember,always buy new head bolts when ever you open the head.

    Thankyou bros for the suggestions.. I hope overheating is not the actual problem its something with the wiring or a censor. I got my engine overhauled a month back have a new gasket, i dont know if the head bolts were replaced or not but still there aint no bubbles in the radiator, the water apparently is pure too. If its with the wiring or a censor where do i need to go? The enercon guy is not gona check it, i dont wana go there!

    Amin bhai radiator pipes are fine.

    I dint get the fan speed/condenser fan speed point! It has something to do with the check engine indication? and how do we check the fan speeds?

    There's no specific check for the fan speed, u just have to feel that enough air is blown thro the radiator. u may compare it with some other baleno or ask a mechanic about the speed. if the fan speed is slow than on slow speeds there isnt much airflow thro radiator "as u have also mentioned that on hi speeds temp is ok", and the temp raises which also causes the chkengine lite to come on. or the AC condenser fan speed is also not rite, then a part of it also heats the radiator.

    btw did u get the head facing also or not. if yes, then may be it is not properly faced which is causing this effect. a slight error in that will not cause water and oil mix, however, may cause this problem.

    a very valid point, never cross through my mind...but i think the mechanics compensate this by installing a relatively thick head gas kit...does that serve purpose

    Head phasing aint the issue amin .. This check engine issue was there before the over haul, however it dint bother much in the winters. il get the cooling system checked as well as the gasket but i feel the issue is electric. And if it turns out to be electric i need suggestions yaroo .. where to go? A person you feel can satisfy and rectify without hit and trial?

    Every baleno owner is theoretically half a mechanic though :p
