Default Baleno GTI missing on Petrol

    Dear PakWheelers,

I own a baleno 1.6 GTI from past 6 years. I drove it on petrol for its first 40000 kms then i converted it to CNG. Now it is 80000km driven and the problem i am facing is:

    1. Missing on petrol not on Cng

    2. Poor pick on petrol but perfect on cng

So the thing is my car is perfect on cng but giving these trouble on petrol.

I have tuned my car changed plugs but the problem still persists.

The mechanic said to clean injectors. But i wanted to ask you people if he is right.

Please give me a solution for my ride.

    Thanks

yes i think that mechanic is right, it might be the problem of injectors or the fuel pump...have you got ur fuel pump checked???perhaps the fuel pump is chock or malfunctioning...and yes one more thing Air intake is blocked from 50 to 60% when car is tuned for CNG, just have a look might the air intake is blocked more than that...or u just remove the tape that is used to block the air intake and then drive the car...see if the problem is there or solved

Thanks for replying i will check that air intake blockage and i have also seen an electronic air intake blocker in factory fitted baleno which block air on cng and opens on petrol. i will try to find it in market. Hope things get better then.

    Dear Pakwheelers,
This is an old thread and now i have finally solved the problem with my ride.
Actually the fuel in the car was of very poor quality i filled it from a small town near Okara. Few days back i filled my tank with hi octane from Shell defence and after driving my car approx 200 km the car got back to normal. And its a monster on petrol again.
Thanks to people who replied to this thread. And thank God i didnt let mechanics to touch the car.

    @zaeem...
good to hear that every thing is fine now...to remain on safe side i advise you to add a bottle of injector cleaner in your fuel tank...as you were using a low quality petrol in your and it surely blocked your injectors to an extent it is not an expensive option u may try it any time...
and yeah you were talking about some electronic air blocker in baleno...have you seen it (or just hear about it)...i have a same idea in my mind since a long time...and if the product is really available in market then it is a superb thing...do tell me if you know from where it can be available

    Also,
did you have got 80000 kms service done.

    1. timing belt,
    2. all lubrication change
    3. engine coils
    4. plugs
    5. AC / generator / power pump belts etc...

I think first go for engine coils check.

^ what was the problem? i had a similar issue in my 1.3 JXR its check engine light was also on. the calm shaft sensor was a short wire.

but i think the older Balenos (i.e before 02 didnt had that sensor)
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Ultrasonic cleaning is internationally accepted MOST effective process for cleaning fuel injectors. It is cheap and comprehensive solution for the problem. Fuel additives do not remove the debris completely from the injectors. In fact they can cause harm to our vehicles if not used in line with the standard operational procedure.

When we pour such compositions to our fuel tank, their first action is to dissolve hydrocarbon scaling from the fuel tank. All the loosen up sediments pollute the strainer attached to the submersed fuel pump and the main fuel filter. Remaining dirt flows inside the engine and so does the gunk cleaned from the injectors. That is the reason, the professional mechanics and auto websites recommend change of engine oil and filters after usage of fuel additives.
