Default need suggesstion regarding engine overhaul (Baleno)

    salam all...
i have gotten a baleno 2005 JXR CNG...it has approximately covered more than 100,000kms...now the problem is that engine oil level is decreasing (0.75 lit in 2500 km)..also a very little amount of smoke if engine is accelerated in idle position...a little bit vibration is also felt (may be due to engine condition)...i want you guys to advise me would i need a complete over haul or some parts change (ring, valves etc) can serve the job...i m in intention to keep this car for about 2 years...
also if any one have some price idea of baleno engine parts and over hauling expenditures, he would be more helpful to me...

0.75L in 2500 is not that bad,

Make sure there is no oil leakage in the engine.

Rather than going for complete overhaul getting rings replaced and also getting the valve replaced will work for you.

yup agreed check any leakage first .. check chamber packing etc ..

i think if u r not facing any problem ur car can go further more kms with this ..if u want healthy car engine .. then u have to check with a good mechanic may be rings replacement etc can do work for u ...

If your problem can be solved by only replacement of rings/valves etc, then go for it. Try to avoid complete engine overhaul untill engine blatantly asks for. No comparison of genuine engine setting. Its my practical experience.

Just a year back, i got my 99 baleno engine completely overhauled.
    Full overhauling.

All Parts (except clutch plate and pressure plate) were purchased for Rs 19K approx and Rs 4K for Mechanic labour and 4.5K for Kharadia. Most of the parts were Japanese and some were genuine becasue genuine parts were so costly. Just imagine that genuine pistons were of RS 12K!!!!

After overhauling, Engine performance was fine but its fuel average was a bit less as compare to earlier.

This is a known problem with overhauled engine. After the overhaul the fuel economy decreases even i experianced this and my mechanic is also clueless

    Though the avg should increase.

    @all
now that is what i can say the real help...my mechanic had almost convinced me for a complete overhaul and if i dint ask you guy i might get into this fuss...actually what i feel with my engine is that although it is working well but it is not smooth in idle start position...vibrates a bit and RPM goes up and down...oil spillage is not seen any where in engine...(a week before there was alot of oil deposits on engine but i came to know that blow pipe was torn out due to some mechanic carelessness...i put a new pipe and no more oil deposits)

so a ring and valve replacement would be enough...hmmm...hay guy tell me one more thing that the Tappets of my car are now adjusted to its maximum limits...i mean no more space to adjust them...now if i replace the valves and rings of engine, do tappets return back to its initial position???

one more query other than engine overhaul..
i strongly feel that there is something bad with car transmission...but i m clueless regarding this matter...in first gear the behavior of car is not smooth...it vibrates (or even tends to turn off if vehicle is on a slope moving upwards)...specially while parking in garage while car is at very slow speed in first gear (half clutch pressed) it vibrates a lot...is there some thing wrong with clutch and pressure plate or it is because of weak engine

vibration in first gear at low RPM is due to cng tuning. please try parking it in petrol if it works normal in petrol than there is no problem with transmission.

it is on petrol as well...i mean the vibration of car at very low speed (specially when half clutch is also pressed)...only difference is that the chance of engine turn off is relatively low on petrol as compared to CNG...i don't know why...but some thing gives me the feel that there is something wrong with clutch
