    Default Baleno 2001 tyre touching splash guards...

    hello everyone...

    my friend just bought baleno 2001 gti. the problem is that it has tires of size 185/70/14 with its original 14" alloy rims. the splash guards have been removed from all the four tires and are found in the trunk as they were touching the tires.

    my question is that
    1. what is the original tire size for this car?
    2. will 185/65 size solve the problem?

    I am using exactly same size with all four guards in jxr, no touching issue.
    Difference might be in guards not the tyres.
    Driver side door panel is stuck with a sticker saying its origional dimensions,according to what:
    jxr & jxl = 175 70 13
    sports = 175 70 14

    The rear mudflaps also hold the bumper to give it a proper shape, as the car hits the mudflaps loose those 2 nuts, and the bumper makes them come slightly ahead of its orignal place which makes this happen in the rear, the front i guess the cars low with time

    I own a Baleno 1.6 Gti, 1999 Model registered 2000 and the original tire size is 185/ 65/ R14. Once I had changed the tires to 185/ 70/ R14 and faced the same problem that you have mentioned, thus had to put back the original size.

    There is'nt touching issue with 185,70,14.
    You should check the touching sound some times comes due to hand brake cabel misplaces from clamps and eventually resulting in touching with tyres.
