Thumbs up Amazing fuel economy Of Baleno on CNG

I recently purchased Baleno 2005 model with FF CNG with lambda sensor , i am really very much surprised from its fuel efficiency as i always filled its Tank from Shell pump F-7 islamabad (which have normal 200 bar pressure and they fill gas via storage truck instead of using compressor ) and the baleno is delivered 256 km in local drive (including visits to rawalpindi as well).

i checked this average again and always she delivers more than 250 km in one tank in local drive. i always drive with light foot and use hypermiling .
so it is giving almost 3rs/km which i think is not bad considering a 1300cc car having done 100k km on the dial with 14 inch 185/65/14 tyres.

That is really unbelievable mileage you are getting out of your Baleno. I cant remember anyone mentioning that high figure for local drive on CNG. The best known cars in terms of CNG mileage are cultus and city (04-07) and you are getting way more than those cars.

I hope you do not have two cylinders in the trunk...

Well Mehran, Alto aur cultus k cylinders chotay hote hain bhai!!!!!!!!... I always got 200+ & somtimes upto 230 on long on my Margalla... Now I have Liana & it also gives about 180 + in city & 200-230 on long routes...

About Baleno (I have owned one too).. Just few words... "It's an awesome car better than both Margalla & Liana except for its small trunk space"

Even mehran and coure/alto's best figures are no more than 210km of genuine mileage in a cylinder. So your claim of 256km in baleno is unlikely to be true

I also own a baleno 2005 FF cng with no modifications, but its best mileage within a city is 180. n max 190.
but i hv heard that if i change its air intake with that of a nissan then it can improve its engine performance + can add 10-20kms.

it IS possible. baleno is very very fuel efficient and if u do hypermilling, why not.

those who have kept and drive a baleno wud agree with u. thos who are just here to type wont. so relax. no need to explain anything.

Now this is smthing illogical that no suzuki vehicle of 1000cc can gv 250+ kms in one tank. Mu cousin has Suzuki Khyber 1997 model and it gives 260kms/tank in local....thats what i personally experienced. So with baleno.....it is not smthing unbelieveable....

Thats right Baleno is a fuel efficient car (My cousin has it and he always says that)...somebody mentioned above that cultus has a smaller cylinder, well Cultus FF CNG has 55 cylinder...my cultus (2008 EFI FF CNG) gives me 200+ easily in full cylinder and with A/C and within city and with no hypermiling.. On motorway once i got 262 kms without A/c in winters... so its pretty much possible.

my baleno 1.3 1999 with 1,50,000 on odo and lambda installed conssitently gave me 250km on longer routes, i also had hot water connection on kit. once it gave me 276km/cyl.
if you dont beleive it then dont cause it doesnt matter to me.
so the above post is definitely right.
and for the noobs who are comparing carburrettor cars with EFI, get a life.
