    Hello!
yeah......if u really want do something......find big diameter discs and brake calipers and install some big brake booster with its matsre cylinder.......i will cost you around 10K or some more but i can decrease problem.......also putting bigger dia tyres like 15" with 195 or 205 wodth can solve that out inshallah.....
but finding bigger discs is not an easy job.......maybe you find it.......install some big brake booster of bigger cars with its genuine master cyl ....it will surely increase braking power.........

My friend has a black baleno. Many of you have seen it at the PW meets in Isloo (vertical doors wali).

That thing has grip levels that only a few other cars can match! Trust me we've tried it.

The solutions are pretty simple though. First of all, if your car is running on the stock Bridgestone tires, then please get rid of them ASAP. Secondly, if you switch to 15inch wheels with 195/55/15 tires then that will make a very significant improvement as well. Go for DUNLOP, TOYO, FIRENZA but DO NOT USE GOODYEAR at any cost.

When you go for alignment, make sure the front wheels are in negative camber. This will improve your cornering and braking stability.

You can also lower your vehicle at the front with aftermarket springs. The best part is these springs actually improve the ride on the car, if you get the right ones! But the brakes and handling just becomes phenomenal.

Don't sell this car at any cost! It is the most entertaining 1.6 that money can buy and excellent value for money.

In case you do want to sell, lemme know too.

    Cheers

Brother consider yourself very lucky to be the owner of an absolute firecracker of a vehicle. U need to meet up with us sometime and we will be happy to share some tips and tricks on this vehicle with you.

Maybe you could take a look at the black baleno too and see what is going on in there.

    Cheers

Well saquib bhai i also have serious doubts on what u said...... most of the people like the guy who brought that 1.6 GTi with lambda doors on the isloo meet said that it was banned because the police wala's were unable to chase even the stock ones............. and i have heard only good things about this car.......... wish to buy one..........

yeah bilal bhai u have heard true. Even the stock car has so much power of ignitin that u cant imagine. after 4000 rpm there is some power given to this car (not turbo ) and it suddently giving u a jerk gets very fast and sometime gets out of control.

its a very open debate bilalahm
i know people in Pak Suzuki who told me that it was stopped because it had issues, In fact first batch of baleno 1.3 had major issues which were resolved later on.
About police not being able to catch it. I dont know any such thing, so cannot comment.

This thing about cops having issues may be true. There are some very rare civics which are much faster stock than the rest of the ones sold in PK. Apparently they are from the first batch sold in Pakistan for that particular model.

For eg, my friend has a 1996 VTi and it is so quick that it puts modded civics to shame. In the same fashion, I have seen an early 2001 VTi which also was very quick compared to the rest in the market. One thing I know is that the cars are stock, and no internals, electronics changed!

Apparently the inside news from Honda is that the new civic was detuned for the PK market. Apparently due to some early accidents and stuff with the 2001 civic!

Yes it is true however about the GTi having issues. The early models had issues with the EFI system. But it is nonetheless a very quick car.

I would agree to speeddemon, 1.6gti is the most entertaining car to drive in Pakistan. I had it for 5 years and totally enjoyed it. It has a good road grip (if you tires are good) and very good handling. The turning radius is smaller than toyota, civic etc so it has better maneuvering capabilites. Engine is very good for this size car.
I have civic 05 now, but i dont enjoy it as much as used to do with baleno 1.6gti. If you want to go for fun driving, get it. New Liana might have same qualities, but didnt test it yet.
