Aerio wins "AAA Auto Guide Award" for 2003
The Aerio 2.0L model (U.S. Spec.) has recently received top rating in the under $15,000 category* from AAA (American Automobile Association) Auto Award for 2003.
For the past 11 years, AAA has tested more than 200 vehicles annually, and they rate each vehicle in 20 categories, covering passenger environment, over-the-road performance, workmanship and value that rank highest in several categories and price ranges for the AAA Auto Guide.

According to AAA Auto Guide article, the Aerio is evaluated its roomy interior, good visibility and excellent maneuverability.
More than 200 vehicles were evaluated for “AAA Auto Guide: 2003 New Cars and Trucks,” and the top vehicle in each category took the award. Twelve categories are based on vehicle cost and type, while one, the Cool Car category, is based on unique characteristics. Winning 2003 models are:

Honda Accord ($15,000-$20,000)
Buick LeSabre ($20,000-$25,000)

THE POINT TO BE NOTED HERE IS THAT UNDER 15000$ class includes HONDA CIVIC ,TOYOTA COROLLA ,MMC LANCER AND MANY OTHER CARS IN WHICH AERIO HAS WON.
Also AERIO is named Aerio because of its remarkable aerodynamics and downforce.
