Default A/c pipes & dynmo bearing problem in my PLATZ

in my platz some bearing causes sound
I put platz to mechanic shop, he told that there is some bearing sound( i thought it was of dynmo beraing) ,cost of bearing is 100-120Rs, labour costs is around 150-200Rs. but problem is that to change that bearing ,he has to open a/c pipes.
position is such close that there is no way to open dynmo bearing without opening a/c pipes,I checked it with different mechanics but all said that position of pipes is so much close that without opening a/c pipes,u cannot open dynmo

some mechanics told that when u open a/c pipes gas will be finished & again you have to put new gas because it is whole closed circuit from compressor, condensor & a/c pipes, if even you open anysmall joint,ac gas will be freed out while some mechanics told that by opening a/c pipes gas will not be freed out ,gas stays inside compressor & condensor & only when a/c is switched on ,then gas flows from compressor to pipes

but I think 1st group is right,i dont want to lose original gas,so please telll that by opening a/c pipes( there is no other way to open dynmo),gas will be loosed or not?
please tell about your practical experience

What model are we talking about here. If the engine model is 1NZ-FE, you don't need to remove the A/C hoses to get to the generator. Post a pic of the engine.

According to Wikipedia, Platz and Echo are different names for the same car. Both are sedan versions of the Vitz/Yaris. It was called the Platz in Japan and Echo in North America and the engine is a 1.5 1NZ-FE.

echo comes with 2nzfe and thats 1.3L. Platz comes with 1szfe,i.e. 1.0 L and they share the same chassis platform.

i am talking about the recent imports though u may import a 1.4 D4D vitz, but generally speaking majority of them come with 1.0/1.3L eng.

On second thought you may be right. It would probably be a 1.0 or 1.3.

yaar i took to diff. mechanics & they told mine was 2NZ-FE , atlsat almost 99% said that u have to open a/c pipes. but in end i took to one guy, he put jack, remoce tyre, remove cover over the tyre under the fender ,( i forget what it called),then he remove, i think dynmo or something like that, then he fixed it.
bearing cost me 110Rs. while labour cost Rs.200( but atleast my original a/c gas remains safe)
