    Default Problem with my platz

I have toyota platz (A/T) with CNG. I was having pickup problem on CNG but on petrol it was doing fine. A few days back I filled petrol from PSO. My car was running on CNG and I had to stop at signal, when the signal went On I tried to move but as my car was having pickup problem on CNG it didn't move ahead so I converted it to petrol and the engine went OFF that time. I started engine again on petrol but now the engine was vibrating a lot and brakes went quite hard.
Till now the situation is same, the engine vibrates at idle and sometimes shuts off at low speeds.
After CNG setting the pickup on CNG is fine but again sometimes engine shuts off at low speeds. But on petrol the problem is same, at idle condition I can hear engine speed going up and down.
Please help me about this? what could be the problem and what to do for that?

Try to switch the AC off and then drive from zero KM/HR. It'll work fine. You must contact with kkool in Islamabad. He'll sort out your problem.

The problem is same with or without A/C. The major concern is that the problem is on petrol.

I guess we will never get a definitive answer on whether an a/t car be converted to CNG successfully or not.

The situation is similar on D & N. I also tried the same trick by disconnecting battery terminal for a while but it didn't work.

It is just the setting and having an automatic transmission does not help out things.

Check the Petrol Filter. It might need replacement.

Check if the catalytic converter is installed, just remove that, you will be fine.

I believe your problem was because you reset the ECU of the car (by disconnecting the battery terminals) . It can take a while before the ECU collects all the data again from all sensors around the. It can include MAF, O2 pre and post sensors and many other sensors that affect the combustion. If this was the real reason, then your car should start running fine in about 30 mins max.
if its not running back to normal after 30 minutes or so, then the issue may be elsewhere.

    @smk4
is there a generic OBD connector in your platz?

i think first of all you should remove the spark plugs and inspect their state. If they are oily and black, you have a lack of air, and/or low combustion due to faulty spark plugs. Easy way to check if they are black and oily is by borrowing one from another vehicle (if you dont want to buy just for testing) and trying the new one.
If your spark plugs look clean and slightly pinky white then the combustion should be ok, and the problem lies elsewhere.
I would check air, and fuel filter, and MAF sensor. Remove the connector from the MAF sensor and see if it improves the situation.
If your spark plugs show a problem it could also be due to faulty O2 (Lambda/Oxygen) sensor too, which is in the exhaust manifold usually.
I am hoping the you have already sorted out the issue though cos just noticed that your post was a while back.
    anyway, hope it helps.

sounds like an airflow sensor issue to me.

I agree. but u can always check the air flow / Mass Air Flow / (MAF) usually by unplugging it checking if it improves, or makes the situation worse.
But the problem may have already been fixed
so smk4, please do let us know the outcome. will be good for future needs.
