    AOA club members!

I might be buying a Belta so I needed some suggestions from their owners.

What would you recommend ? A 1.3L or a 1.0L Belta considering I travel to Naran, Kalabagh, Khanispur, Murree and that kind of areas thrice in a year.

And what else should I know about the car? Its spare parts? What oil do you use?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards.

hi. i am thinkng about changing my tyre and getting 185/70/R14 for my 1000cc belta. Will these pose any issue like less fuel economy or bad car handling?

Nope, these won't effect your handling nor fuel economy.

Why don't you stick to the original profile of 165/70/R14?

Because I visited a few shops and they only have 185/65 or 185/70 in R14. They said 165/70 is not available in Pakistan.

Default Toyota Belta Buying Info/Comparison with Honda City 2006-08

    Dear All,
    Aoa,
This is my first time on pakwheels. I just want to know some information regarding Toyota Belta as I am intended to buy one.

My range is 1 to 1.1 million max and I know that in this range I can only go for 1.0 X.
The car which I have seen is 1.0 X 2007 Model 2011 Isld Reg, Odo 40,000 Kms, White Color, Alloyrims and 1 small dent on rear door. Demand is 1.1 but negotiable as well.

    I want to inquire that:
    1. Is there any way to check whether the odometer is tampered/reversed or not? Can Toyota guys do that if I take the car to them?
    2. What are the ways to check that when the car was imported from japan, what was its grade and running at that time to get it confirmed that how much it has been driven in Pak.
    3. What is the resale though I am not doing any investment, I want to retain it but if in case of any emergency I need to sale it immediately would I be getting a reasonable offer and that too in limited time?
    4. My other option is Honda city 2006, 07, 08? so which is preferable Honda city or Toyota Belta as far as performance and maintenance is concerned. Secondly city may have CNG which I know would be very economical as compared to Belta which would only be having Petrol?.
    5. Last but not the least is there a good mechanic of Japanese cars especially Belta as I live in G-11 Islamabad and I don?t want to run to Toyota everytime, bcoz for regular tuning and services its ok but for minor problems it will cost me a lot.

Thanks in Advance and sorry for such a lenthy post?

    Welcome to PW brother ...

My range is 1 to 1.1 million max and I know that in this range I can only go for 1.0 X. Depending on the location you can get 1.3 too in this range but better to put 200k more to get a nice one. Otherwise you can stick to 1.0X in good condition.

The car which I have seen is 1.0 X 2007 Model 2011 Isld Reg, Odo 40,000 Kms, White Color, Alloyrims and 1 small dent on rear door. Demand is 1.1 but negotiable as well. You will see many of such vehicles, F-10 G-10 muree road everywhere.

    I want to inquire that:
    1. Is there any way to check whether the odometer is tampered/reversed or not? Can Toyota guys do that if I take the car to them? My strongest guess is that you cannot verify the odometer reading unless it is mentioned on the export documents. You can check for many physical work evidence on your dashboard but then its all clipped installation so it wont help.
    2. What are the ways to check that when the car was imported from japan, what was its grade and running at that time to get it confirmed that how much it has been driven in Pak. You need to check the documents thoroughly.
    3. What is the resale though I am not doing any investment, I want to retain it but if in case of any emergency I need to sale it immediately would I be getting a reasonable offer and that too in limited time? Beltas are quite common now and resale wont be an issue but keep in mind the continuous import of other JDMs which may decrease Belta's demand in future.
    4. My other option is Honda city 2006, 07, 08? so which is preferable Honda city or Toyota Belta as far as performance and maintenance is concerned. Secondly city may have CNG which I know would be very economical as compared to Belta which would only be having Petrol?. Being a Belta owner I should support Belta but as far as my opinion is concerned I would give few thoughts to City prior to buying Toyota. Honda is far better engineering. So I will stay neutral and would suggest to re think about city as well.
    5. Last but not the least is there a good mechanic of Japanese cars especially Belta as I live in G-11 Islamabad and I don?t want to run to Toyota everytime, bcoz for regular tuning and services its ok but for minor problems it will cost me a lot. This is Pakistan mere bhai, you will get all types of mechanix here. No need to waste big bux on toyota-ships rather seek a talented road side for tit bit works.

Thanks in Advance and sorry for such a lengthy post?

Actually i was never ever intending to get a Belta , rather i was in search for a Honda city but dude when i coincidently drove a Belta and then few more tries on other Beltas i became a fan of it and now i say that Honda or any other Paki car stands nowhere in front of Japanese guys.

Thanks again for your detailed input….
