@unware...how about when driving 1.3L belta in S mode..can u feel the additional power as the transmission keeps the engine in higher revs..in 1.0L belta the difference between D and S mode is not significant since the engine is too small to produce additional torque..

O yes big time ..... driving in S mode is like keeping transmission limited to 3rd gear and a little more power in each gear you can say. As I mentioned before I tried S and B mode while driving beyond naraan and specially on skid roads where you dont need to speed much. I really liked the B mode while descending as it keeps the tranny locked in (lets say) 2nd gear and you dont need to use brakes that much.

Non-CVT transmissions will rev your rpm meter from 3 to 6 while the acceleration is applied while CVT transmissions will acquire a specific rpm and accelerate accordingly.
I opted for Belta after much deliberation: I have 1.0 too pick-up may not be as good as a my City (2002 Manual) but I don't mind. I accelerate gradually anyway to keep a good consumption. I enjoy the smooth ride and Jerk free shifting due to CVT. The jerk was even there in Civic Reborn (although no comparison between comfort levels).

Above is very important I believe, coz I remember when we were coming back from Naraan, Jeep driver asked to to tell me brother (ahead in his Civic) not to keep his feet on breaks too much, this could make the breaks to fail at times (as per him).

Congrats on your purchase, Allah mubarak karay and be safe.

I will put my opinion here and wait for other 1.0 owners to enlighten more ...

Ans 1. Recommended is 5W-30 and you can use any oil you want, ZIC is good, check Havoline and Shell Helix ultra also
Ans 2. OEM size is 165/70 with rim size 14. but you need to gain ground clearance which is an issue with most beltas. Some people increase tyre profile and some install spacers. I am also in a hunt for best solution. Lets see
Ans 3. No idea about security systems, wait for other members' opinion
Ans 4. Check with BubyDuby007, he has manual for Toyota Belta, he can help you with that.

    Enjoy your ride

I inserted a dvd in it and nothing happens and now I even can't find a button to eject that dvd ...

I am finding it hard to get genuine brake pads for Toyota Belta 2007 model. Moreover as it is short in the market and now the price is also quite high at Rs.5,300/- and its quite expensive for me to purchase at them moment.

Is it ok to use Malaysian as recommended by some shopkeepers as its cost is Rs.1,400 or will it affect performance and also the drums in any way???

    Would appreciate your kind advice

    Thanks

I was also waiting for other to reply on this. My opinion is ...

Find it hard?? Did you contact any toyota dealership yet?

Un affordability?? Brother either absorb the shock and get the genuine parts; your belta will fall in love with u, OR, except that its Toyota after all, one of the most spare part-compatible motor, buy some other brand and get them fit properly by a genuine mystery

Disadvantage?? Your mystery will guide you better on this.

Sorry for not being of any good help.

    Toyota dealership will kill me

I got genuine ones for Rs.4,800/- (1,000 rs more due to shortage as it was 3,800 last month)

Have a lot of work to do on my car namely servicing, polishing, and brake pads change plus spark plugs clean but just so busy with work and home that I dont get the time :-/

Tell me one thing, do I need to remove the throttle body completely and clean as the mechanics here suggest or is it enough to just spray carb cleaner on the butterfly after removing the air filter box?

Getting very bad mileage so was thinking of doing that....

Ahan good to hear u got the originals. About throttle body I would suggest to do it but then I got mine done from toyota gt motors 8000 kms before. Having said that throttle body being a separate element, it needs cleaning too. There are other threads explaining assembly/disassembly of throttle body. Find some info and then DYI ... hope it wont be complicated. Yar about bad mileage I really feel amazed as last week I made a trip from Islamabad-Sargodha-Bhera-Islamabad via motorway and mine gave me 17.4km/l with climate control on. I wud say Masha'Allah .... See if spark plugs need a change but then your wallet wont like it Insha'Allah it will give you some performance.

Read this if u havent and I will see if I google something out.

I inserted a dvd in it and nothing happens and now I even can't find a button to eject that dvd ...

The memory card must have been removed on the port after de-stuffing. The scumbag drivers take them out.

You will need to buy the SD with your Navigation systems software.

Go to any well-known audio shop which works on Japanese Navigation systems. Tell them you need the SD card with software for your head-unit, tell them your model number or they would recognize it by having a look.

When I imported a Passo back in January it was missing the memory card too, I got it here for 1500rs. The price can be more or less the same.
