    1. Being the kind of person I am, I would like to get all its maintenance done myself before I drive it regularly. Can someone guide me towards its official maintenance schedule / manual cause the one that came with my car was Japanese.

    2. Who is the best person in Karachi to Belta related things.

    3. Are the ABS and traction standard on 2010 models of Belta? If yes, can I check that from the instrument panel?

    3. Do all the Belta owners meet somewhere in mutual interest / ownership (like Karachi Tracks / Karachi Racers etc. )

    Regards,
Congratulations on your new purchase! Post some pictures of your Belta, we would love to see it.

    1. Replace the engine oil, engine oil filter, air filter, cabin air filter (if necessary), CVT fluid (if neccessary). Check brake pads and brake shoes. Check for any suspension bushings needing replacement. Also check your coolant level and brake fluid level.

    2. There is no special person really. Anyone with decent experience can do it. Hey, even you can do it provided you have the experience and tools required for the job.

    3. ABS is standard in all models of the Toyota Belta, no matter what year or variant and/or model. You can, flash a light into your meter and you will see an ABS icon. But the best thing to do would be to apply emergency brakes on an empty road to see if your ABS unit is functioning properly.

    4. Nope, we haven't had a 'Toyota Belta only' GTG yet. But if 5+ members are planning to do so then we can have one, why not?

On the topic of ABS.. What is expected during ABS testing ? (NO SKID?)

Also I once heard cranking sound when applied hard brakes during routine driving. Is that ABS kicking in ?

I am up for GTG in Karachi

I want to get 09 corolla side mirrors (white) installed in my Belta before I loose the original. Don't care about retraction, but do want electronic adjustment of angel. Any suggestions from where in Karachi and how much.
    I'm all IN for GTG.

Call up this guy Zakir 0321-2682693 and speak to him. He will come and fix it at your place but do negotiate with him, a bit expensive. I have never succeeded much though but I find it easier than going to Plaza

You can give my ref of white belta at sharea faisal which he recently fixed.....

I had my original mirrors taken out and got Cultus ones installed for PKR 1800 from Plaza. This may compromise the beauty a bit but not the car safety and my pocket.

Tell me can I get the original air filter and oil filters of Belta purchased and changed from any one of the Toyota showrooms, and which among these showrooms is highly recommended?

Done now? People have been doing it for the past decade!

It's simple because it's a bolt-on-bolt swap. Out goes the 3-banger 1KR and in goes the 4-banger 2SZ. No need to replace the gearbox either.

I have driven both extensively. I love the 2SZ, it's peppy and has a little kick of torque in the initial WOT (wide-open throttle). It's light-weight as well but not as light weight like the 1KR.

I would recommend swapping in a 2SZ only if you plan on keeping the car for sometime, otherwise it's useless and you'll get bugged a lot at the time of selling your car.

You can get a decent 2006 or maybe even a clean 2007 model 1.0L B or X Package. Go through the used car section, you will find plenty, but remember getting a really good and clean domestically driven car is hard. Best of luck!

Well, I like I wrote before. I won't recommend it unless you want to keep the car for quite a while.

Expense won't be much. You can get an entire 2SZ with gearbox for around 70-80K. But you will be paid peanuts for your 1KR, because that is just how it goes. Other than the cost of the engine you'll have to pay for labor.

You can make one yourself. See this:

It's Just that one has to be quick and sturdy in doing that. In Islamabad, a Duplicate Remote key costs five Thousand so m sure you'll get it cheaper in your cities.
