Well, i m totally new to this pakwheels discussion. But i dare to ask you few things. I m a stering driver and dont know much about Cars. Ith blessings of Allah i hve driven a 98 margalla now want to change and go for a Belta 1300 cc. Please help me and advice ( as sadqa e jareeya). Which model and package is good. Normally there are 2006 model wth X and G?
Is it true the car has a very low resale ( i m not a frequent car changer)? Is the body parts easily available? My options are either to buy city IDSI ( 2006- 07 or 08) & Belta , which car you think is comfortable durable and economical ( both in petrol And cng) ?
In market most of Belta are 2006 model with exception of few 2007 - 08 and rarely 2009. Does it mean 2006 is better than the later models??

    Basically

1.3 Belta was discontinued in Japan in Toyota in 2006

Some left over units were made in the next couple of years

1.3 didnt vanish due to any other reason

1.0 was also discontinued in 2012

So thats something u might not have known

I wudnt buy more than a 5 year old car

Ciry might be better if u have issues in sourcing parts etc or if u will use ur car in an area where parts get stolen or damaged

Finally if u can buy 2010 above thats better

Surely u cant expect a 1000cc car to be a rocket

So take like it is and enjoy ur life as much as u can with what u r given

Thanks for the reply umar bhai yes a new car or a newer model is always better but then it's all on the budget. 1.0 is really underpowered, 1.3 is even show but it's very good at highways, other then slow acceleration I like every thing of belta and as far as parts are concerned, all parts are available only difference in 1.3 is ecu& engine which are also available. You can find each and every part of belta. Used engine 1300cc was for 26k when i checked last time

    - If your Belta is the 1000cc model then it has a CVT transmission. There is no dipstick for checking the CVT fluid.
    - The 1000cc engine is a 3-cylinder not a 4-cylinder
    - Mud? What is that suppose to mean?
    - Hi-octance is recommend for preventing knocking. You do not have to use it if you don't want to.
    - Washing your engine bay and/or changing your gear oil does not have anything to do with your fuel economy

immediately change you gear oil.. only with genuine Toyota CVT oil.. you will get ts pictures somewhere in this forum. any other oil will damage ur transmission & the used one is around 80k in the 2nd hand market so do the maths yourself

ur belta is CVT so the gear oil shouldbe CVT as wel. forget about getting confirmation & get ur transmission oil changed infront of you asap

occasional hi-octane is good enough to clean the engine..use it once or twice a month & you wont really need any STP.

follow few step for better mileage.

    1. Dont push Race paddle too much
2.Use STP complete fuel system cleaner cost 1000 rupees with tank filling and once tank empty use as per below
3 Also use STP fuel injector cleaner cost 450-500 rupees with every tank fill .
this will not only boost belta performance but mileage too .
