Hi everyone, I went to get my Belta's regular check-up, got the following thing's done:

    - Replaced the spark plug's with new OEM ones.
    - Replaced Engine oil and filter.
    - Flushed the old brake fluid added new brake fluid.
    - Cleaned the TB (Throttle body).
    - Got the Handbrake tighten.

    Price's:

    - OEM Denso SK20HR11 Iridium Spark plug's, price per plug: 1,150/= Got three so the total price for the Spark plug's was: 3,450/=
    - Original Toyota Dot 3 brake fluid, price per bottle: 550/= Got two so the total price for the brake fluid bottle's was: 1,100/=
    - OEM 1KR-FE Engine oil filter, price: 900/=
    - Air sensor cleaner, the can was for 300/=
    - Engine oil, Shell Heliux Ultra 5W-40, fully synthetic motor oil 4L bottle, was for 3,065/=
    - Labour charges: 2,500/=

The car has become very responsive and the engine's sound has gone down quite a bit, I still need to get the MAF sensor cleaned, their is a little vibration on idle. I'll plan on doing that myself.

I've been using Shell Engine oil's since I had a Go-Kart when I was 10. I am really statisfied with their performance, as far as ZIC is considered I've not heard of it before. The mechanic is a old one, he has worked on and restored quite a few car's within out family, I don't mind giving him a little more than usual.

Yes, I rounded it off to PKR: 12,000. I use Shell's Engine Oil, it is expensive but it's worth it this price is the official price for a brand new bottle of Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40, fully synethic motor oil throughout various Shell petrol station's. No the Fuel Filter and the Oil Filter are two completely different thing's. The Oil Filter is used to filter your Engine Oil it's attached inside a Oil Filter housing besides your Engine Oil pan, you have to replace it everytime you replace your Engine Oil.

The fuel filter on the other hand is a filter which filter's your fuel, it is located inside your Fuel tank taking it out is very risking and time consuming as their are alot of plastic fitting's and valve's inside the fuel tank which if get broken or cracked can cause a major issue. Do not change it unless your Engine is giving you terrible knocking and a horrible fuel average. It is expensive aswell, I asked the price for the Fuel Filter aswell just for knowledge the guy replied with PKR: 8,000.

Yes the Air Sensor/Carburator cleaner was used for cleaning the Throttle Body.

Well, this was the first time I've changed my Spark Plug's since we bought the car back in July 2007. I have only driven it 12,000Km's in three years. This was my four time changing the Engine Oil/Engine Oil Filter. It was my first time getting the Throttle Body cleaned. It also also the first time I got the Brake Fluid flushed and replaced aswell and it was the first time I got the Handbrake tightened.

    Exclamation Belta 1.0 or 1.3

Anyone selling Toyota Belta? I am looking for registered good condition car preferably in 1.3.

I have chosen to buy 1.3 litre since I am under this impression which should be right that 1.0 engine will be under performance car!! Correct me if I am wrong.. Any comment??

Who said that 1.0L Belta's are under-powered? For example, if someone is driving a Honda Accord CL-9 and they suddenly switch over to a 1.0L Belta, they will definitely feel the car under-powered, why? Well, that is because the Accord is a 2.4L 200HP+ mid-size sedan whereas the 1.0L Belta is a 67HP subcompact sedan.

Choosing which varient you want to buy also depends on your price range/budget. If you have a budget of 11-12lacs, I would suggest you to buy a fresh cleared or a clean registered 2006-2007 1.0L X or S. If the budget is not an issue and you want more features and options and you want that tad bit of extra power I would suggest you to get a fresh cleared or a registered clean 1.3L G or X.

The 1.0L on the other hand is eco-friendly and very fuel efficient whereas the 1.3L is efficient but it isn't that efficient and eco-friendly as compared to the 1.0L varient. I hope this explaination helped you, as far as buying a car is concerned you can PM me, I will try my best to find you a car upon your requirements.

Why isn't 1.3l that efficient or eco friendly? agreed, 1.0l would give better consumption but yes, it does roar more as compared to the 1.3l. Considering the body size, it only makes sense 1300 cc would be just the ideal choice.

    Correct me if m wrong.

It is eco-friendly but isn't as much eco-friendly as compared to the 1KR-FE. It does indeed roar when you hit the pedal, well choosing which varient you want also depends on your price range/budget.
