Thanks! Its definitely an X. It does look like it has side skirts, though. . . anyway, I'll post pictures then we'll see.

One of the best things about the Belta is that parts are available easily. Plaza in Karachi can probably start manufacturing cars the way they have spare parts !

Looking for a similar place in Lahore, since I've moved here. Anyone know a place like that, where I can find everything Belta (God forbid I need it)?
Never underestimate the stupidity of the general public.

hey i m an airline pilot just joined the forum been reading up on these posts the past couple of hours..just bought my self an unregistered 1.0 belta 4.5 grade for nearly 12 inclusive of the registration.. i was wondering if theres anyway of authenticating the auction sheet just for my own satisfaction. secondly even though i love the car and its fuel economy is absolutely phenomenonal with a great drive the engine does roar a bit while accelerating which seems as if its being stressed though it stabilizes at higher speeds..i got the car raised for a week with spacers but realized it made it somewhat unstable so i had them removed n now i am contemplating bigger tyres in the near future hoping that would affect over all engine performance too..i drove the 1.3 as well which was about a 1.5 lacks more expensive as well as the difference in economy so i tipped the 1.0 over it cz at the time the drive and the smoothness were identical infact the 1.0 seemed to be smoother on the control wheel but dint quite realize the engine noise.

Great, we're anixously waiting for you to post pictures. I know, most car part shops are keeping parts for Belta's because of the huge number of recent imports. The mechanical parts of the Belta are as same as the Vitz, so finding mechanical parts isn't a big deal at all.

Have you asked a few auto part shops who deal in JDM vehicle parts in Lahore? I bet they're plenty of them there aswell.

Belta's ground clearance at the center is approximately 150mm which is around 6'' inches, I honestly don't know about the Platz but it would be an inch or two more.

Online search says 143mm and 155 mm for Platz. Now we must park another vehicle alongside to compare. To give you an idea, my facelift Platz, with genuine rims but tire size of 175/70/13 used to touch the speed breakers because of cng despite having aluminium fillings in them if one or two people sat at the back. Recommended size was 155/80/13.

Yes, Belta's stock ground clearance is 5.6'' whereas the Platz's is 6.1''. It's hard to believe your Platz use to hit the pavement with a CNG kit installed. To avoid minimum contact with the cars under carriage you should always take it over a bump or a speedbreaker in a crossward position to avoid m contact with the ground.

I've seen alot of Belta's and Vitz's with 200+ profiles running on 15''-16'' wheels, wider profiles ruin the drive quality, fuel average and not to mention the suspension.
