Thank you very much, mashAllah. Haha, well I don't park my car is spaces I don't find comfortable and when I leave it parked at night I always put the car cover on it.

I drive it VERY carefully and calmly as it is a family sedan not a 'sports car'.

Nice ride, but why is the rear raised more than the normal height? BTW, did you get these silver colored steel wheels with wheel caps when you bought the car or did you get them installed afterwards?

    Default Belta Maintainence Update

I own a 2006 1000 cc Belta. Just had its Transmission Oil changed & Plugs replaced. Thought I would update the costs involved for everyone incase ones wondering.

    3 Denso Iridium Plugs
Toyota Dealership Cost per plug 2260/-
IA Traders , Walton Road lahore Same Plug for Rs.1080/per plug

above plugs good for atleast 20-30k kms (manual cleaning required after 10 k km)

Transmission Oil 4 Ltr genuine Toyota
Toyota Dealership Cost 4. Liter 3820/-

about 3.5 Liter of Auto transmission oil is required. good for 40-50 k kms

Also can anyone update me if they have changed all 4 brakes (front & rear..? & their costs if possible
    thanx

What are the model numbers of the spark plugs you've bought? What variant is your Belta is it the 1.0L or the 1.3L?

I can't say anything about the transmission oil, if your Belta is the 4WD variant then the transmission oil you have added is fine because the 4WD Belta comes with the common 4-speed automatic transmission used in a majority of Toyota sedan.

If you're Belta has the CVT gearbox then you have made a mistake. You should have added Toyota Geniune CVT fluid TC it comes in a 4L canister.

I haven't replaced the brakes, brake shoes or brake pads yet on my Belta yet. You could probably get a complete brake setup (front & rear) from a half-cut or whole scrapped Belta or Vitz in Shershah or maybe even Bilal Gunj.

Brake pads aren't expensive, OEM ones cost 3,500rs (they consist of 2 pairs, both used for the front ofcourse)

In toyota showroom the brake pads for old model vitz were 5500Rs and new model were around 7000Rs.
Though I got them for 700Rs (old Model) , its about year old story, i have sold that car...

Why people always install the spacers on the back only, why not also in front so that the level of the car remains the same...?

The guys over at the Toyota workshops rip customers apart, I would rather buy a part from elsewhere and for less. And then install it myself rather then getting it installed from them.

Well, basically they do it to improve their cars ground clearance. Some do it because when they install CNG kits the rear-end of the vehicle drops below the factory ground clearance.

Yes installing them in the front would even out the ground clearance on both ends. But, some people don't understand. Installing spacers ruins the drive quality completely.

If your vehicle hits bumps and speed breakers take the car across them as diagonally as possible. The more sideways you take it the less the under-carriage will come into contact with the ground.

You should have told the person from whom you bought the car from to give you the OEM wheel caps.

@Janasheen, The Hard springs just ruins the drive's comfort
I had experienced this in my vitz....

@Murtaza, What do you say, install spacers in only back? or both? I din't get your point...

Though I'll be out of budget when i get my belta, but i am thinking of getting bigger (higher) tires and spacers on both ends....
what do you say how much will it affect the consumption and comfort?

i have changed my drive tyres from 165/70/14 to 195/55/15... no issues with drive though. consumption has not yet been calculated but its ground clearance has improved.
initially i got 195/60/15 installed but there was a possibility that it myt touch the mud guard so changed it to 55 instead of 60.
