    It's actually 0-60 MPH timings, and for Km/h it's 0-100 (not 60). Last time I timed it at around 12-12.5 seconds mine is a 1KR-FE 1.0L.

Default How to open the air intake assembly on the 1KR-FE & location of the throttle body

First of all you will have to open up the red circled clamps in order to proceed any further.

    Toyota Belta Owners & Fan Club - DSC01924 1

That is the throttle body below the golden ring, @Zubair530.

Toyota Belta Owners & Fan Club - DSC01925

Take all four clamps off of the air intake assembly. There are two other areas which you will have to move the assembly from.

Toyota Belta Owners & Fan Club - DSC01931

First of all you would have to take the air filter out, just lift the assembly a little and pull the filter out it's flexible so don't worry about breaking it. Just do yourself a favor and don't rush. Out goes the air filter.

Toyota Belta Owners & Fan Club - DSC01933

Now you will have to pull the assembly upwards very carefully. The circled fixtures are what you will have to take care of. This is what is looks like when the assembly is taken off.

Toyota Belta Owners & Fan Club - DSC01955

Now once the assembly is off, place it in a safe area where no one steps on it.

Toyota Belta Owners & Fan Club - DSC01934

Just behind the ignition coils is the throttle body, here is a view of it.

Toyota Belta Owners & Fan Club - DSC01936

Here's the throttle bodies view from the inside. You can clean it with a carburetor cleaner spray it won't harm the throttle body.

Toyota Belta Owners & Fan Club - DSC01937

Notice this fixture clamp, it's covered with carbon deposit. Clean it up with a tissue or a old rag before putting the assembly back on. You're going to have to use your pinky finger in order to clean it up, the area is quite congested.

Sorry, my bad. I meant MPH.

And yours looks like a good one. Did u clock it on 'D', 'S' or what?
And my Belta 1KR-FE 1.0L takes about 17-18 seconds, maybe more. Could u suggest the problem here?

    Default knocking sound

    dear all,
one of my friends owns a 1.0 belta and every time it is slowly accelerated it produces that pining/knocking sound which, i believe, is normal for 1kr-fe engines.(i may b wrong there).i wanted to know if that sound is also produced by beltas with 1.3 2sz-fe engines (or 1.3 2nz-fe,for that matter)?
and is there any solution to it without ofcourse using only or mix of hioctane?
Note: have heard similar issues faced by honda city owners, which,as they say, was resolved by updating the ecu (octane compatibility issue))by honda people. (can that be done with belta too ?)
would really appreciate a response. thankyou.

Well u are right there about 1KR-FE engine... whether its belta or vitz it'll do same cuz engine is same in both. As far as 1SZ-FE is concerned its a 4-Cylinder inline and wont make that sound cuz i have as similar engine in my Vitz '04.

As far as ECU update stuff is concerned... no idea mate...
    Any idea Murtaza..??

Reading other posts here and in the Vitz Fan Club, I have realized that a 1KR-FE should give a fuel average of around 14-15km/l at least.
My Belta gave me 8.5km/l in city on Hi-Octane. Added to this, Murtaza mentioned his Belta touches 100km/h in 12-12.5 seconds. Mine does 100km/h in 16-17 seconds atleast, maybe more.

Pathetic pick and pathetic fuel consumption. Any ideas guys? Please help me out.

There isn't any 1SZ-FE engine in the '05 Vitz or the Belta. They only come with an optional 2SZ-FE which is a 1.3L. The 1SZ-FE was a 1.0L engine that use to come in the 1st generation Vitz.

I bought it and drove it the way it was, apart from changing engine oil, oil filter, air filter and and transmission fluid. Nothing major.

So what could be the problem? Please help I need suggestions here.

HI Murtaza, could you tell me please where I can find genuine parts of Belta in Islamabad/Rawalpindi? Specifically the wind screen.

ive had my belta for over 4 months now and its working perfect Now there is a problem i was in lahore last week and someone stole 2 of my wheel caps. Where can i get replacement wheel caps in lahore ? Or i was thinking to solve this problem permanently go for alloy rims. If i go for alloys where can i get good alloys in Lahore ? Size will be 14 Pcd 100 i think. I can not go for 15 coz just got new 14 tyres 3 months back. Thanks in advance
Yes, the PCD is 100. I would suggest you go for OEM 14''s or 15''s.

So what could be the problem? Please help I need suggestions here.
Check the spark plugs, if they're burnt. Replace them as soon as possible.

This is one of the problem common among most of the car owners.....
if u have the budget then go for alloys i suggest. they make a lot of diff in looks.... but do select some alloys which suits ur vehicle.
shahzad though it wud cost u little more but i would advise u to change the rims to 15 inches so dat ur vehicle's ground clearence also improve.....
otherwise u ll keep on facing the problem and mental torcher as well...
ur hard luck that u posted a little late otherwise i got my vehicle's rims n tyres changed n i was in possession of its caps. just gave to smbdy few days bak...as they were in no use of mine, just junk....
bilal gang is the place for u to get them.
