Hi everyone. I'm thinking of buying a belta 1.3L. I have one in mind which i sort of like. Its plain white. The exterior and interior condition is immaculate. I have a few questions which i would like to ask here

    1) Ive been confused between Belta and New Honda City MT, which car do you guys in your honest opinion think is better? (as in, is the Belta as underpowered as people say it is)
    2) The Chassis #, of the car i like, goes like NCP96******X; does that mean its the Basic 'X' 4WD model?
    3) If yes, then what would be the right price for a good condition 2006 model unregistered freshly cleared car with around 30K on the ODO in LHR?
    4) The seller says Its 2006 model, freshly imported (2012). Doesn't the PK custom have something against importing cars more than 5 yrs old? If yes then Would this pose a problem?
    5) when buying a Japanese vehicle, what documents should i look out for? i mean how would i know if the documents are genuine or complete or if there is something wrong with the car etc?

I'm sorry I know these are a lot of questions but i hope you guys can help.

    1. Belta hands down, why? Better built quality first of all, better overall features and optional options, safety features (the top-of-the-line G selection comes with 8 SRS airbags as standard). You'd feel more happy having a JDM vehicle parked in your driveway rather than a locally assembled vehicle any day anytime.

    2. I have wrote those details down in the first initial post. The NCP-96 chassis comes with a 1.3L (2NZ-FE) engine, conventional 4-speed automatic gearbox and a 4WD layout as compared to the other FWD variants.

    3. January was the last month in which vehicles manufactured in 2006 could be cleared from the customs. Ask the person you are getting the car from to tell you the exact month of clearance. If it has a non-accidental history and it is clean overall it should be within the 12,25,000-13,00,000 price range at max.

    4. Answer to this question is above.

    5. Well there are usually a total of 12-13 documents in a imported vehicle from Japan, this excludes the number of local registration documents. I have made a list regarding these documents, if you want I can mail it to you.

I hope I have answered your questions, if you need any additional help feel free to ask.

First of all welcome to Pakwheels and the Belta owners/fan club. Congratulations on buying a Belta! Nice to know there is a post-facelift model in the club now.

Finding OEM side-skirts is next to impossible, you can get replicas of it though. Have you asked Optimum Motorsports and the TAK speed shop yet?

Please post the pictures of your Belta as soon as you can.

Default Some queries by a new Belta owner

    Hey everyone,

Ive recently bought a Belta 1.3L 2006. Pretty satisfied till now but there are a few things that need to be addressed. I hope all the Gurus here can pitch in a bit of their time and expertise to answer my questions

    A) Road Clearance:
Now this is an issue i've read about a lot. I sort of experienced it last weekend when i had 3 passengers in the car with me and the speed breaker scratched the underside of the body.
    My questions regarding road clearance are;

1- Would 15" rims address this issue or would it still be there to some extent?
2- Read something about spacers solving road clearance issues on this forum? what are they and has anyone tried this approach?
3- People say that 15" rims on Belta rub against the body? Has anyone experienced this?

    B) Sound system:
My Belta is Basic with the basic CD player. I need something that can connect my Ipod? Ive looked through pics of some fully loaded beltas but couldn't figure out a few things

4- Due to the panel design, are my options limited to the OEM sound system (are there other options)?
5- Does the OEM sound system support IPOD connectivity?
6- Where can i Buy (and also professionaly get installed) an OEM sound system in Lahore and what would be the price range?

Like always, your help would be really appreciated fellas.
