Congratulations on the new ride, looks great mashAllah. What size wheels and tires did you get?

Unfortunately you cannot get new splash guards in PK. However, you can try looking for a set in Bilal Gunj or ask someone you know to look for a set in Shoba Bazaar which is located near Peshawar. If you can afford brand new ones then contact TMC car parts in Karachi. They'll get you whatever part you need from Japan within 10-15 days (they will require the original part number)

    Any other plans for it?

    Questions from @Hammadhhj

    Hi!!

    1. Do we have to replace spark plugs? the guy at Toyota 3S told me that we dont have to replace them If they are of that "very" kind... cant remember the name....

    2. CVT oil must be replaced as its 39000 KM done.

    3. I went to Swat on it and it gave me two noises, first it was from wheels , i thought its something with bearing but I checked it from Toyota they said its ok

second weird sound was from Engine when I was going UPHILL on "S" gear, with Accelerator it was givin me sound like of some grrr grrr of bearing kinda thing I shifted it on N and it still gave me the same noise, I checked it from toyota they said its OK. It might be something with engine external bearings or generator pulley as I drove like above 6 hours.

Its giving me 15-16KM/L on long and in city 11 KM/L both with AC.

Suggest me about the tuneup and other maintenance checks please. i ll prefer Toyota 3S.

    Thanks

    Br,
    Hammad

    1. Of course, spark plugs require replacement. First check your current spark plugs, if they are burnt or worn out replace them ASAP.

As you've mentioned your Belta is a G selection it has the 2SZ-FE engine, the OEM spark plugs for it would be K16R-U11, IK16's will do fine too.

    2. What is the year of import of your Belta? Do you have the authentic auction sheet with you? Can't say anything without any proof. 85% of the vehicles in the current market have flipped odometers. Anyways, Toyota recommends to replace CVT fluid at 60-70,000Kms depending upon the driving enviroment.

    3. Was it knocking? It should not make any kind of weird/abnormal noises. Was the noise like metal touching against metal or something else?

Go through the thread for regular check-up and maintenance.

Salam Murtaza. the Tires are 185-65-15 as recommended by u. Didnt go for 195's as i was afraid they might touch the body. The rims are 7". cost me Rs 30000+ 30000 each approximately. The clearance issue has been resolved and its going fine (no touching) over humps now with 3-4 persons in the car.

I dont know how to get the part number of the splash guards. Can u pls get me a quote from TMC. Will appreciate it. Or kindly get me the part number so that i can contact TMC directly.

Right now, no other plans. I am just trying to improve the mileage and rough running at idle. Changed all that u have suggested except gear oil. The car has 47000 kms on it. But i will still get it changed next month after ramadan.

Regarding the rough running at idle, has any one else also experienced the problem that when its the RPM is not smooth at idle, it effects the pickup of the car also?? Especially if the AC is running. I added high octane 10 L to tank yesterday and i think it seems better now, but will know for sure by evening today when i drive it a little bit more.

Regarding the Mileage, it is only giving me around 10 in the city with AC..Any suggestions??

Oh dear. What other negatives are attached? I did hear the engine roar above 80 km/h on a 1.0l Belta. What next?

Great! Nice to hear it doesn't hit the speed breakers. Rims are 7'' or 17''?

I'll get you the part number and estimated price for the splash guards and PM them to you.

You've replaced the spark plugs, right? It should be vibrating on idle if you have done so.

Vibrating on idle doesn't decrease the throttle response. Go through the thread for the 'things to check for better fuel average' I've posted it somewhere on this thread but I don't exactly remember where.

It's upto you. The 4WD costs less though. Is it a 4WD? Have you got the auction sheet verified? 12,20,000 isn't a bad price if it's not 4WD and has the 2SZ-FE.

A 2007 3.5 grade G with mileage under 70,000Kms will cost you in between 13,50,000-14,00,000. The G is very rare and the demand for it is very high in Japan and in Pakistan as well, that's the reason you don't see much of them for sale.

    @murtaza
What is the procedure of verification of auction sheet?
What is the difference in drive, fuel consumption and performance of 4wd and 2wd?
How would you compare Belta with Nissan tiida

whats the function of catalytic converter? i am having problem with acceleration of my car (car is about 67000kms now) toyota motors mechanic has suggested to get the catalytic converter removed and it'll be fine and they are saying to get the car tuned (like rpm setting throttle body cleaning etc)
according to toyota motors its only present in japanese cars and its function is to block the dust so is it wise to remove this converter

How would you compare Belta with Nissan tiida

Not everyone can verify it. You have to verify it by it's chassis number. If you want I can help.

The fuel consumption isn't that big of a difference. The biggest difference will be 2-3Km/L. The performance isn't improved in either case, it's the same. The only difference is the transmission the 2WD has the K410 Super CVT-i gearbox whereas the 4WD has the conventional 4-speed automatic gearbox.

Sorry, but you can't compare the two. They both are in different categories. The Belta is in the sub-compact category whereas the Tiida is in the compact vehicle category.

Some direct competitors to the Belta are the Honda City, Kia Rio and the Chevrolet Aveo.

according to toyota motors its only present in japanese cars and its function is to block the dust so is it wise to remove this converter
The job of a catalytic converter is to create harmful gases such as carbon monoxide into less harmful gases such as carbon dioxide and H20 (water) which don't harm the enviroment and the ozone layer.

Have you scanned the car with an OBD-II scanner? Have you checked the fuel pump and fuel filter?
Don't remove the CAT converter, they don't clog up easily because immense amounts of heat is passed through them. The Belta has three CAT converters like all modern day vehicles. One is right below the manifold, the other is the mid-pipe and the last one is in the muffler itself.

The guys at 'Toyota', they aren't even experienced. A guy who does a basic check-up on his at home knows much more. When the hell does a CAT converter block dust? What the hell?

2-3 Kmpl will be less in which one, 4WD or 2WD? Which transmission is better ?
Even if Tiida and belta can't be compared if you get the Tiida in same price would it be a better deal ?

    4WD

Which transmission is better as in, what?

The Tiida is a really nice car and is a really good option as compared with the Belta. You see, if a person has their mind set at buying a specific vehicle he/she won't go for anything else unless they're persuade to do so. At the end of the day, it all depends upon your choice of what you want to get.
