The Sheikh Motors in your F-10 where Salman1230 bought his Vitz from also has one HERE ON PAKWHEELS for sale as well. Only thing is for the amount he is demanding, lovable can supply a 2006 model instead.

well then mates,..i had the test drive today, was a white 2006 1.3L Version, and to be honest, i have mixed kind of feelings....
the car looks cool...the interior is well made and beautiful to look at and feel...the drive is comfortable and smooth

however,...i had a big problem with the tachometer placed awkwardly in the center...may be i am not used to it,..
and 1.3L felt a little underpowered (on CNG)...the gear shift was just ok but nothing like what CVT should be...but then when i shifted to petrol...difference was more than evident! suddenly like it had some gatorade or some other energy drink,..the pick..awesome...power awesome...speeds of 150+ easily achievable...transmission and gear shift...silky smooth...a totally different and beautiful picture altogether!

so there is nothing more that could say that these cars are not meant to be CNG-ed..and to get the maximum comfort and performance, one should stick with petrol..

but given the economy and the stupidly high gasoline prices,..i have this affinity for CNG! and i think i cant help it...
(BTW i have a civic 05 prosmatec oriel which was CNG-ed like 3 years ago, and trust me...CNG has been wonderful in that car,..a tankful gives me 100 +/- with airconditioning in city traffic!)

so,..i have to reflect upon this experience and make up my mind and then proceed accordingly....

i just wish that our government figures out a way to bring the petrol prices down,...even if by just a little bit...

Dr. Shaggy, most of the cars give their optimum performance on petrol, the way they are basically designed. How long has your friend kept it on cng for? as for centre console, yes, it does turn to be amtter of nuisance but i guess one gets used to it as in the case of Vitz and the like.

atish, this Belta yours? nice to see a manual one for a chnage.

Hell everyone here. I guess I may be newest member of this forum. Already know a few members, had an interaction with Doc shaggy earlier. Just a very simple naive looking question (especially directed at vajih102, lovable) I am planning to get some alloys and new tyres for my belta. Should i strictly stick to the stock size or do i have the leverage to go a little more fancy I mean a little bigger/wider tyres. I certainly dont want to greatly affect the ride in any way (grip/suspension/comsumption etc). thanks.

    great ride indeed aatish.

    nmumtaz, Welcome to The Forum.

many thanks for the praise DrShaggy. glad to hear your friend is enjoying a troublefree cvt Belta. hope to learn more from his experiences since my information is all based on what i learn from others.

here's a bit on what i have gathered for you regarding the tire size:

    abmalik writes:

" . . . I even don have these rims anymore cuz they were 205/55/16 n it made my car too heavy to drive even it effected the fuel consumption.... "

"...... I started to customize my car... the 1st change I made were the rims.... 195/50/15 Dunlop Sp Sports 9000"

TypeR shows his Belta On 17's ! but says "My belta is running on 17s and on full turn the tyres touch the body ! plus the car is slower then before and mileage has decreased !"

    wheelspk had his on 15"s

THEREFORE i conclude saying sticking to the stock 165/70R14 size is the best. Else, maximum 15"

Should you require more, we should post this in the Wheels section also.

    Rs. 12.25-12.50 lacs for 1.3l X
    Rs. 13 lacs for 1.3l G

i believe even lovable is interested in upgrading his own X to G. maybe he'd sell his in between.

type R, resale i at least would say it does. difficult but i have noticed Belta is fast catching on the roads these days. i would contribute the reason for this to more sense in people to buy Japanese products rather than the local inferior ones. also, the high price of the new cars is something that has made Belta more affordable. in view of these, and the presence of the car on the roads, more and more people have shown to turn keen in owing one.
