The posts i have read mention its mileage around 15km/l (city) for 1.0litres engine. i would suggest getting your engine tuned maybe that would improve the mileage. Personally, i would advice keeping it off CNG as long as you can afford petrol especially on a 1.0 litre belta (small engine for the size of the car).

Belta gives just 8-10km/l in the city with AC on :|:|

My Altis auto gives the same...? I was actually thinking of scaling down to an economical 1000cc Belta/Vitz, but if theyre giving the same mileage then...

    ^^
So youre getting an avg 13km/l+ in the city with AC ? What about the highway, any estimates?

And about automatic, well, 50%+ Vitz are on CNG and they are seemingly trouble-free

No Doubt CNG is cheap to refill and use but how it will justify the Initial Cost of 40k on CNG Setup especially if u keep the car for only 1 Yr or less and thn change to new car.

I suggest yuo to change ur driving habit to Light footed and drive on Petrol and keep ur car happy.
