    @funkycapricorn

    I'm surprised to know your Camry is giving you 11-12 km/l. Our 1.6l SE Saloon gave us 9-10 km/l in city and so is the case with all the three of our Civics; 96, 00 and 05. Also, my cousin's Vitz is giving him around 14 km/l in city and another cousin's Altis is giving him 9-10 km/l.

    I'm always surprised to see people's cars giving them such mileage. We take more care of our cars then we would of our children :/

    @prince_sultan: i still doubt your claim of 15km/l without AC within the city with your old daewoo.

    i have a santro 2001 (1.0l)which gives 11 with AC within city

    and a lancer 2006 (1.3l) which gives 10 with AC within city

    btw i've kept chery since 3 years and i've faced no problems.

    Its a great small car. Unfortunately people here are too narrow minded to accept new brands and the fact china makes everything these days !!

    @all: How do u calculate mileage? please tell me.

    My platz 2002 auto transmission used to give me 19plus kms per litre on motorway 9-10 months before.I never calculated in city. Now it is on cng and doing 200plus kms in one cylinder of 55l on highway.Once in last august, while coming from Islamabad to Gujranwala, I got my cylinder full from Rawat.After reaching Gujranwala (exact 200kms), it still had one green light on which means another 20kms could be added easily.

    Whereas, Belta having same power of engine and with a body heavier than platz, should give 17-18kms I believe.

    I have a City 2007, although it sucks on engine power and response, it does manage to give me around 14-15 in da city ( with a very light foot and slow speed) on Petrol and around 150 on a 55 kg cylinder ( around 400 bucks to fill the cylinder). City is 1200cc while Belta is 1000cc. I think the consumption quoted by Mks is achievable, if not exactly 19km/liter, it should be able to give around 17( still a very decent figure for a four door sedan)

    I agree with the posters above on santro and corolla . My father's 1.3gli 2004 (90,000km) normally does around 11-13 in the city. My sister's santro (2005) also does 11-13 in the city (50000km).

    My Xli gives 14 in city and 17 on highway, it is not a big deal with 1.0 ltr Belta. Pak assembled cars particularly Suzukis have very old engine technology. Newer engines now deliver more power and consume less fuel.
    Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

    Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.
