well during the days of single stage paint, all waxes had abrasives so in those days they were known as polishes, when clear coats came along then non abrasive waxes were made as clear coats are impervious and durable while single stage paint is porus and easily oxidised so waxes for single stage used to be slightly abrasive to keep the colour looking fresh and to remove light oxidation.
any how wax = usually a non abrasive (or almost non abrasive finishing product)
but the word polish covers a whole range of products, the words polish and glaze are used interchangeably as there are no fixed standards for categorizing detailing products
i avoid such discussion because of absence of fixed standards
