I didn't read it all kyun kay it BUHAT lamba tha, so here's what I know.
Torque is meauserd and horsepower is calculated. The formula for getting torque is:
Horsepower X rpm / 5252=Torque
So for example:
The current civic has 140 horsepower at the crank at 6300 rpm. So,
140 X 6300 / 5252=167 lb-ft of torque at 6300 rpm.
Now, of course, the civic engine doesn't produce 167 lb-ft of torque. This is just a theoretical measure in the sense that this is how much torque is required to produce 140 horsepower at the crank at 6300 rpm.
I don't really understand it at all...
