@geforce. I had a Mazda Mx3 before I bought my Eclipse GSX. I had a lot of trunk space in the MX3 so I bought these High powered subs and amp. I had a huge Ported box in my MX3 with no place in the trunk for anything else. The box was so big I couldnt even find a place for my amp. Well then about 8 months later I bought my Eclipse for racing purposes and I had this sound system. Couldnt fit it in the proper way, with a huge box, because of the small, super small trunk space in my GSX. I couldnt build a wood box as there wouldve been way too many angles to cut and line. So I decided to go with a Fiber Glass box.
These subs arent designed for a sealed box so I had to stick with a ported one. And the trunk of my GSX limited me from building the proper ported box so, I focused on just designing something that would just fit the system in my GSX. After the box was done, the sound WAS NICE. but the lows sucked ass. I mean the deeper lows. The mid level bass was nice and it hit really hard. I never got into the whole "Q's", "V's", and whatever else of sound. I was a good installer/builder and never a frequency tuner guy. I made some nice sealed boxes for my friends and they ALL sounded great. I was just pleased with the way my project came out and especially when friends said DAAAAMMMNNN when they saw it.
