Sir
Head unit which have Higher pre volts are definitely better, provided that a person will ever use an AMP, and a really good one, with a budget of 12k for Head unit not every one would be using a Class D AMP and a 15 inch Type R.
The primary preference of head unit should be its own sound.
If the AMP has power, it will give you power, 2 volts are more then enough for AMPS available in Pakistan, provided they are good. I have had a PRS4100D champion level class FD AMP and a Terminator TN200 in Edmonton, running on a R805 Head unit, powered Type S components with both and there was absolutely no difference in sound.
only Class D mono Amps and High end Champion series needs 4V or higher.
last time I checked Pioneer 6050UB was of around 16,000Rs in Karachi.

Sir, no offence taken, but SALES DOES matter, otherwise most of the people would not be buying Pioneer Head units and Toyota Corolla.
Quoting the sales figure of Europe was intentional, because you cannot sell crap (like we do in Pakistan) there and a product has to be really good in order to make it to the market, (Suzuki cannot try selling Bolan and Mehran in Germany).
With due respect Sir, the Genuine choice of most people having a High End AMP is Pioneer, because it offers the Highest Volt Pre OUT in their Head units at a low price since a long time then any other brand.
If we talk about playing High End
Which Head unit will you buy, given you have to choose between
Pioneer P90RS & Alpine CDA 9887 ?
If Alpine is the Daddy, it is selling a discontinued Head unit with 4,000rs higher price tag and no features at all.
The only good and best selling Alpine for us is the one which makes it way in Corolla.
No one is daddy of no one, Kenwood is a mainstream Manufacturer and Alpine makes High end sound system that sells in handful at a very high end price.
If I argue that Ferrari F430 is the daddy of Corolla or Golf, I would be wrong because the former is bankrupted 7 times and later sells at every 40 seconds.
@HiddenCraze
Sir you must understand that the sound system has to be balanced, we generally put too much emphasize on Head unit.
Head unit is NOT the most important factor in sound imaging SPEAKERS "ARE".
Money saved here can be spend on buying good speakers/SUB or Wiring/AMP.
