So guys,
here is the rest of the equation. nothing fancy. but not too bad either.
I have used Type Rs and CVs extensively (subs in 500rms category). Decided to try these for a change. just wanted to use something different.
brief specs:
- 600rms - dual 4ohm voice coils
- Rugged carbon-glass fiber cone - this material is a good dissipator of heat and has less friction
- Dual 4 Ohm Voice Coils
Excelone is kenwood's premier series subs. so I am sure these must be quite decent.
Apparently these are thought to be louder than 12" type R - assuming both excelone and type R are fed 600rms. however, type r can handle more power and should be better in reproducinf lows. Excelone may be better than Type R in terms of loudness above 45hz+.
Anyway, objective is to test and compare both the subs. I have a strong feeling that would be good.
a fun fact:
type R and CVs are priced at 130 US dollars. whereas these excelone retail for about $240..
built quality is also good. no cheap parts. seems like a good buy to me
anyways, here are a few pics i just took....
