the problem is that i hav a woofer installed in my car but when it gives bass the back plastic cover which covers the speaker starts making a rattling noise which is very irritating and reduces a great deal of sq.Can u tell me how to get rid of the problem?
Same problem is with my CorollA 2011, I think we have to replace that plastic cover with carpeted chipboard phatta.
I faced the same issue after installing my woofer. But after investigating a lot I found its not the plastic cover. Its actually the metal sheet which holds the speakers it is very thin n starts vibrating as the sounf increases. So the remedy is to support the metal sheet so the its vibration would be controlled.
^ how u provide support to that metal sheet, please elaborate
Please elaborate
You can also use some sound deadening material to eliminate these rattling sounds. And sound deadening is an important step in sound system setup.
There are many threads on pw which contain solution for this problem. try searching for them.
