Good day, all!
I've been running an entry-level system consisting of:
- Pioneer DEH-7450SD
- Soundstream Ref800.4
- Pioneer TS-D1720C and
- JBL GTO-1214
for a few months now.
All was going smoothly till the mid of this month when the mercury started hitting 40 degrees. After half an hour of playing, the REF shuts off to cool down (protect light turns on). After 5-10 minutes it'll turn on automatically.
Wanted to ask if this is normal with REF users or should I get mine checked?
The amp is mounted in the trunk on a chipboard rack. And there is no CNG mini-bomb so it gets decent ventilation.
Cheers,
Hassaan.
