Default Charade Suspension Experts - pls help!!

    Hi pak wheelers,
i own a charade G100. Recently i replaced it shocks front with starlet and rear with 98 corolla's ones. The problem is with rear shocks. I bought them from Bilal Ganj and the shopkeeper gave springs separately which had to be fitted by any machinist for appropriate installation. After installation the right rear was producing noise as if shock shaft hitting spring or something. It is a gas shock absorber. What could be the problem. My mechanic just told me that it could be a short size sleeve that is fitted at top of shock rod to attach it to spring.
    what do you suggest??

u sure its not bottoming out? if not then you need to see if the mount is not seated cockeyed, or its not a dead mount, The G100 rear stub axle houses 3 or 4 bushes in one assy. check that they have not softened.

    Thanks Xulfiqar for the info.

Today I got the shock absorber removed by mechanic and took it to machinist, who after physical inspection told me that the fitting and mounting is ok, but there is a problem with shock, the rod, comes up way too quickly and hits the top. I myself examined it thoroughly but couldnt believe what he was claiming as in my opinion, it was reciprocating well. He reassembled it again and I again installed that. Now the sound is totally gone, and on the jumps and rough roads, its working perfectly fine. Don't know what actually went wrong ...

Must have been an issue with the fitting initially.
