Default Charade G11 Brake pedal stuck and soft

    Hi again all!

I had my Charade G11 Master Cylinder+Booster replaced about 3 months back. After some time, brake oil was leaking from one of the pipes in the MC. I had pipe replaced and tightened. Then the rear wheel cylinder (in the rear wheel) broke and oil was leaking from there. I drove the car for 2 or 3 days before I realized it and then got it replaced.

Since then, The brakes have stopped working properly:
1- First when I press them, they go way down and dont give a good grip.
They are spongy and keep on going down till they reach floor.
2- If I pump them 1 or 2 times, they make good pressure, and give good
brake but after that the brake pedal does not come back up
immediately. It comes back to normal position after some time ( I try to
pull it back up ). It seems to be stuck for some time.
3- when it comes does back up, it turns spongy again

I have been at the mechanic for about 5 times now and he cant seem to identify (The Ustad is gone and the assisstant is currently in).

This is buggin me a LOT!!! I cant seem to grip it.
Please all neeeeed your help! I am fed up of charade Brake problem!!!

spongy pedal is a leaky system or air in the system - it can also be an internal leak in the MC fluid not going to the wheels but rather shorting back to the reserve or bleed off - bleed all the system - if it does not rectify then you need to take out the MC dismantle it completely - and check for any pitting or faults - there is a place behind plaza that will redo your mc nicely and you can buy original PBR washers and pistons for it too. By sounding it seems that your brake MC piston return springs are sticking somewhere due to corrosion or the brake pedal return spring is broken.

when doing a brake service on a car it pays to have everything checked for wear.. and replace all at once. I believe that the cylinder you replaced was old - and when your rear cylinders leaked you pushed the pedal down all the way, which caused the brake cylinder pistons to reach into the front of the MC a place where usually the pistons dont travel to - it gets pitted with rust and anytime the brake piston washer will come in contact it will unseat or tear it

    thanks for the reply ZRS!

Infact, I remember there was brake oil jumping back up into the reserve while the mechanic was trying it out...you are right. and the spring is gone in my opinion. I think I will get a new brake MC..have any more tips???

    Thanks again bro!
