    Default charade engine swap- need suggestions+guidance

    i want to swap my charade's engine so as the title says i need suggestion+GUIDANCE...
    can i go for D15b easily..or its a big hassel??alot of alterations needed??
    main thing i want is reliability i mean i dont want to visit workshop every weekend....+ fuel economy+performance...
    what would b the esimated cost on swap??
    also which workshop you guyz recommend me for this all??

    dear i have also planning to swap margalla engine in charade 1988, after checking so many options i finally decide suzuki margalla engine 1300 cc nonefi,due to these factor, reliable engine, economical , spares are easily available, hassle free because its non efi and work well on cng, in bilal gang complete engine cost is 45000 + 9000 for labour charges, lets see whats happen.

    sir the charade's engine available here in bilalgunj are not in gud condition...
    and about cultus engine i think the output after power-to-weight ratio will not b satisfactory as charade is alot heavier then cultus...(i may b wrong :s)
    but i also need power..

    cb70 or cb 80 and a bit of $$ spend on them will smoke most of the big boys like a piece of cake

    bro cb70 and cd80 are badly short in market
    4efte needs some serious alteration (chassis cutting)
    and confused in 4efe and d15b which one is better in terms of performance,fuel consumption,maintenance,parts availability etc
    and im gonna keep my ride on petrol NO cng..

    I was going to suggest few engines but in G11 hmm sadly these swaps dont work too well.

    Still if you wana go for it try if you can Fit 4EFE or 5EFE into it.
    Speed costs money, how fast can you afford to go.

    d15b need more modification then a 4efte to fit in 4efte and 4efe are the same series engine both need the same amount of work

    brothers i had to visit mechanic tomorrow..so need guidance ,what things or what points should i discuss with him before finalizing the deal....
    one more thing
    how can we differentiate different versions of same engine ? like i googled d15b 3stage vtec and found that this engine had about 7versions (d15b1,d15b2,d15b3....)
    and same was the case with toyota 4series engine....
    help me pakwheelers as i have no other source of information regarding engine swap

    bro the engine D15z7 is the one with three stage vtec,and there is a lso a single vtec engine with the code "D15b"....no 1 2 34 added .....u can identify it by the plate just beside the header which states the honde engine code and it'll also have vtec written on the head!!!
    As far as the swaps are concerned ...all of the engines other than Daihatsu engines will require some sort of Alteration....but D15b is a very good option !!!

    why not go for a 4age much better then d15b if you are going to run it on petrol no cng
