Im someone who does swaps by hand myself - I dont hire mechanics/denters etc. Everything I do it by myself, and seeing H22 engines in charades etc was laughable, it takes exactly 3 hours to bolt an H22 into a charade G100 shell with air-tools, welder and a powersaw.

And another 3 hours to cut the axles to match. RESULT - a car that is impossible to DRIVE, Its not that who can shove what engine into a bay, its about can you handle the headaches of reliability.. thats all.

You can have many people here vouching for every ustaad on the market but its more than just ustaad works.

    anyways for the recommendation

Take a mechanic with you if you are not experienced with the market. You can opt for a smallish toyota replacement like the 1SZ from a vitz or a 4E toyota both will require cutting of chassis legs weakening the front. You can also look for a cultus 1.0 3 cyl - its quite short and packs into a narrow space.

When you pick out an engine - make sure that you can machine/make some axles that will survive in proper balance for more than 5 years.

I have restored quite a number of G100 charades and a few G11 - on nearly every engine O/H the engine had been rebuilt by a monkey earlier in life.

had a detailed discussion with mechanic..according to him no 1.3 or 1.5 engine can b swaped in g-11 without cutting welding....
so decided to go with xulfiqar bahi's advice

buy an engine khoka - with no parchoon items on it - (thats karachi terms) in real terms it means
buy an engine with no manifolds and accessories.
    ,
actually i'm really sad but i hope that engine will serve me gud for other few years...

    @xulfiqar
sir what do you say about the performance of cb-33 on petrol with a/c on..?
and T-state valve is a must na? wheaher i use ac or not

you wont see any hp gains it'll just make it a little more responsive, low end torque will suffer ,you will have to gun the throttle a bit more on lower rpms to avoid stalling, but on higher rpms youll have fun,it also helps maintain rpms in b/w shifts !

i dont think after market light weight flywheels come for charade you'll have to get it made ! i think they drill it and balance it on a harmonic balancer ,how light the flywheel should be is also important ! i think mr xulfiqar can help you on that topic !

best and wise decision i must say.....if u love ur car then go for original CB-23, get it fixed properly as xulfiqar was askng you to do.....
i have seen so many ppl ruining so many charades....

its a commuter car God damn it....
body and suspension are always WRT engine power....we increase the engine power by swapping different engines but nver thought about enhancing the suspension or body work ....result is always ...sell the car...

wtf ....want some thing to race then buy a car which is build to race from gorund up....dont put ur and others life on risk....

just get ur original CB-23 refurbished from a good mechanic....

@qaswah: no disrespect but people doing mods have'nt landed on earth from lala land.....those who go for a performance swap most definately tweak there suspension(i.e lowering, stiffening),a proper setup would never harm the car !

yep - the performance is good enough for the car and the Tstat is a necessary item, just be sure to replace all welch plugs from the plugs with new ones and completely derust the cooling jackets everywhere, Use proper sealants when bolting everything back - not the general RTV, many gaskets on this engine do not even require sealant, they are installed dry.

And pack the oil pump with vaseline - that way you will have proper functioning on the first revolution, You can also install the oil cooler sandwich plate on the oil filter base from a GTti or diesel charade engine, its a mod worth doing for hot weather countries.
