    Question Charade Brakes Problem

Hi guys, i am new member here, I followed this forum recently for my audio system and find out that this is the best place where i can get information about cars and stuff....since i am a computer and gaming person and following other forum too, i know i can learn from here....

I want to mention that i am new to cars and their problem. I have a charade model 86 (confrmd..) which is now under my supervision (lols..) and i am having problem with the brakes...i don't want to go to mechanic blindly...

I am mentioning the problem below..please talk to me in a general language cause i cant understand PW EXPERT LANGUAGE...

The problem is that when i speed up the car to like 70 80 + and press the brakes, the car skid(by skid i mean ...chnnnnnn then stop..)

2nd on normal speed the brakes are not responsive as it should be...i mean the car stop after some distance..

How i press brake : I press it full once ....

My friend said that you have to press it 2 to 3 times and he said that their is air in you brake system...and your main cylinder(i think thats what he said, the system that is below brake oil bottle) needs to be change...

Now i want your suggestion..whats the cause and what should i do....

    Thanks for reading my problem.....

bleed and replace the brake fluid. Then look for leaks - if no external leaks are found, then your problem is the master cylinder. If the pedal is hard to work - then the master vacuum booster is dead.

Your options are to either rebuild both parts - or replace them with replacement parts from a cuore.

Install 88 Model complete booster and master cyl. Its around 1800Rs.
Speed costs money, how fast can you afford to go.

Not a pro when it comes to brakes, but
when i speed up the car to like 70 80 + and press the brakes, the car skid(by skid i mean ...chnnnnnn then stop..)
You car will definitely screech if you jam the brakes at 80 it doesn't have abs.

Aur how is the condition of the tyres?

    - bleed the brakes to be sure there are no air bubbles in the system, also replace the rubber lines connecting the hubs to the brake lines, they become weak and collapse internally causing a vague brake or even uneven braking.
