Question Engine Swap Advice Needed for a Charade 84 model

    salam brothers,

I am in the process of buying a diesel charade, 84 model, in scrap condition. I need to change the engine as the current one doesn't work. I was wondering if anyone could plz advise me on:
    - the price of a 1.0 litre charade diesel engine
    - the price of a 1.0 litre charade petrol engine
    - any other choice that i may have apart from the above engines (such as toyota etc engines). Fuel economy is not an issue but an AC would be required.

    Many thanks.

didnt know about the 1.0 liter diesel charade engine
1.0 liter petrol charade engine wil cost you about 45~50K ,giving away you dead engine will reduce 4~6K , if the engine is in running condition but needs a re-built then about 10K will b reduced...

best bet will be toyota's 1300cc engine, the complete swap will cost you about 75~85K but it will b fun driving that car..

if u want a good average then TOYOTA 1.3//....
but if u want power then 1.8 might be useful.

putting a 4EFE in a charade G11 is a headache and a half, the engine bay is too narrow - the axle line never aligns as the engine would need to sit very ahead of the axle line meaning that to correctly fit the engine front would literally be kissing the radiator brace.

so instead of shooting out swap this swap that etc, be a little practical too. 4EFE in a G11 would be OK for someone who works on the car himself but if that someone does not do work himself then he would become a mureed to his peer mechanic.

The reason swaps are OK in a G100 is because the G100 engine is wider and longer as it was originally designed to take the regular CB 3 cyl engine and also the HD 4 cyl 1.3 litre engine.
