    Default Xulfiqar Bhai Need Ur Help

    Dear Xulfiqar bhai,

    I have a charade g11 1986 1 month ago its Alternator stopped charging, i went to electrician he checked it and replace a plate behind it saying it was short. A month later
    yesterday it stopped working again i went to him again and he said no gaurantee for Qabli (used items).Well i got it repaired again but not from him but someone else he repaired it and showed me on special rack he had with a motor driven belt it was working installed it in my car it was working i came home went few places when i was in the way it broke again i cant get what is the issue i am totally fed up please help

    check that the 2 small wires that connect to the voltage regulator are not broken, one wire in them is the switch on wire and also acts as sense wire for voltage, the other is charging lamp.

    Also make sure the big wire connector near the the left side shock tower is in good shape, it usually burns off from corrossion etc.

    When you are confident your car is good - check the alternator itself - replace bad parts as required, - if the slip rings are shot then get a new rotor which has original windings. Its not rocket science. Dont try to shotgun it.
