    Default charade front shocks

    i have a 2 door charade 84 model...
I recently changed its front shocks
and put in the toyota starlet shocks kabli
    ...

    is it a gud swap?

    Secondly my mechanic says that
ur tyres 175/65/R13 is not guud
    for steering...

In my charade, a company sticker
is there and tells that max size to
    be 165

Guide me which tyres size shud
i go with? I got original rims of
    charade not any alloy rims...

The old tyres are of brand tornado
made in indonesia and quite wide
    with very hard rubber

    Suggestions needed plz

    hmmm why starlet shocks?

Charade shocks qabli are available for 1600 for two.

2ndly I also have same tyre size in my charade ya the steering is bit stiff but you also get good grip.

Its better you use 165/65/13 and buy Yokohama tyres they are soft and gives better road grip and comfort on old cars.

btw how much you bought these shocks for?

i got the shocks which is of gas
    not oil walay...genuine kabli..
    for Rs 1800

They r very gud .. way better than
    the oil one...quite hard...
only thing is that they have made
my front wheels higher then back
    one...i discussed that with mechanic
and his theory is that with time
    they will settle down ...

Any idea how much the crank will cost
for genuine charade petrol engine? my engine
has great power and pick but its crank is
    making noise...tapet are adjusted...

starlet shocks are very good, compare to charade genuine.
to reduce the noise of crank and any noise use STP Oil in engine.

You can also install coure shocks with hubs and all in charade they are preety similar.

BTW how much alteration is needed for starlet shocks?

I am also not happy with Charade original shocks they keep on developing some play in them due to that the ride is bit bumpy or some sort of vibration starts coming from them.

My engine problem is not the crank infact its the pully that is not sitting properly on it due to that the engine makes little noise its not that loud and bearable.

    That is not true.

No you cant just swap coure shocks into charade the hub are different so its better if you dont like the ride of your car to get original charade shocks.

Because charade hubs parts are also not available like the caliper kit and all so my mechanic sugested we should change the shocks + hubs with coure.

In Sultan ka Kho u can find them at Qaiser Autos make sure when u buy the shocks as the fitter to remove the spring and than check the shock properly it should be very hard to move it up down and the rod should be neat and clean no scratch marks.

Regarding the gas shocks i spoke to my mechanic he told me this that gas will make ur ride very rough so its better stick to the stock ones.

BTW see if you can return these if you dont like these ok.

Its better if you cant return these than go for change if needed after EID.

    Qaiser Autos 0333 - 5185434

I bought shocks for 800 a peace 2 months ago no idea about latest rates.
