    yaar m using 185/60/14 nexus V-grip for the last 2 years. i think 185 is enuf dnt go for 195 as the engine is not that powerful, the v grip will give u the the perfect grip u need. 60 profile is enuff to adjust the increase in rim size. my speedo meter is working fine with these new set.
    I appreciate a good body regardless of the make

    Go for 195/65 R14 60 will be very low profile it will only give kool look but spoil the drive and low profile tyre are not made for paki roads i will also suggest the same to go for 185/65.R14 195 will be very wide for ur ride it will effect alot in ur fuel consumption

    I'm Shabaz - Regional Head of Bridgestone. It all depends, and ALWAYS depends on the original overall diameter of the vehicle as to which sizes you can safely fit.

    As long as your City is not a 1.5steermatic, then the original size on the car was 165/80 R13. When you plus size to a 14"rim, your perfect substitute is 185/65R14.

    Now if you want to go wider, the size would be 195/60R14.

    The 195/65R14 size is NOT suitable for your vehicle, it will affect your speedometer adversely as well as your handling and possibly even your braking distance. Even the 185/60R14 is not advisable, the speedometer being about 3% too fast. People who are advising you for these sizes dont know what they're talking about.

    As far as the comments regarding fuel economy, they're ridiculous. A 10mm increase in footprint, not even that in reality, makes absolutely no difference to fuel economy. In fact some low profile tyres have a lower rolling resistance, which actually means an improvement in fuel economy....

    Bridgestone is the number one tyre brand in the world, the only approved brand in Formula One, and the largest annual repeating Research and Development Budget of all brands globally. The B70 is an excellent tyre, as long as it is bought from a source where you'll get a fresh, warranted tyre - not smuggled b-pairs as most sellers give.

    @shabazshah

    at one point ur saying ppl recommanding low profile duno anything and on another point ur praising the low profile tyre and mentioning theres pros??? what r u trying to say?

    v had only mentioned OUR experiences and only giving recommandation, not forcing anyone to buy that specif size! if we would be waiting for a tyre wala like u to give response, this thread would be down in the list and u wont even be noticing it! please use low tone next time!

    used 195/60 then 185/65, now 185/70 ( actual car is 3 % faster )

    the 10mm extra width or height cant be felt in real world. wts more important is u get better quality, fresh tyres.

    195/65/R14 is the best............. I have the same tyres installed in My Honda City 2005, but it should be Mitchellin XM1.......... Awesome brakes and no idle RPM wastage............. So just go for Mitchellin 193/65/R14........... This is my personal experience.....................

    @whyboysfail........... Just go for the Mitchellin XM1 or the Saver brand... It costs more than the competitors but believe me its worth........ being an engineer myself i have checked each and every tyre available in the market and this is my conclusion that depending upon the car model........ if u can afford Mitchellin........it is the best ............. in 13' Certis series is good while in 14" go for XM1 or Saver series.........

    Absolutely No affect on fuel ........ it does 160+ with Full AC within the city and on the long route it does 210+ with Full AC........... Also, if u have kept the City you know that among all 1300CC cars, the consumption of City is best on Petrol.............
