It will void the warranty for one thing. Rest, we'll let the owners pitch in their comments.

firstly it would void the warranty.......and secondly the acceleration of new city is already sluggish......although it has good consumption....just stick with petrol otherwise go for manual.....

BTW, what's the response of City '09 Manual on CNG? Anyone?

    asad1:

The poster is asking about City '09 and not City vario which we all know is pathetic on CNG (even if we assume a rare successful CNG configuration)

CNG can be done in new city and it wouldnt be bad like the previous shape ....this is because new city is just automatic and not CVT VARIO......but i would reccomend to stay with petrol .... as consumption wise its great.......cant give exact figures...but its great ..... also you should let the engine break in a bit by driving a few thousand kilometers before fitting the CNG....

CNG on new honda city should not be a problem coz its IVtec engine not IDSi, also there is no CVT in it. Honda people say it has same kind of transmission as of Civic Prosmatic. So in my opinion there shouldn't be any problem on new city running on CNG. But there are some other issues like Warranty etc. I own Auto City 09 and not thinking of Putting CNG coz of few reasons like, I dont want warranty to void, secondly i need full boot space to put my wheelchair in it, and also my usage is not very excessive so that i think i can run it on petrol atleast for the time being.

Now coming to the average of new city, its not yet calculated as cars are still young and new cars start to show their best average after about 10k kms, my car have still done only 3k and its average is around 13kms with AC on Highways and around 10kms again with AC in the city but m not satisfied with it, hopefully average increases after some more kms.

Brother satisfaction depends upon preferences, and according to my preferences i m satisfied with city. Secondly i told u that i m not satisfied with the average but the engine has done only 3k it will start giving its best average after 10k so m hoping for the best. At the moment u cant get the exact average of new city as cars are new and not driven much i think u need about 6 months more to get exact figures as cars ll be driven more and engines get settled. According to specs of new City i think it should do around 18km/l for manual and 16km/l for auto, we will soon know.

And i live far far away from u, u r in Karachi and m on the other corner of the country .

well i went to the showroom yesterday and i have seen the transmision of the city..even honda company says that thios transmission is not DSI like previous one and it is the same as honda civic reborn so this engine and transmission is compatiable with cng...regarding the average honda person says that it will give an average of 14.5km/l in city....lets see...we ll use teh car for 6 months on petrol and then will convert into cng

    hehe

    thanks brothers
