    Default City's Bumpy Ride

    I have a Honda City 2008 Manual with 13 inch 185 yokohama tyres.

    The ride is very bumpy on even slightly rough roads.

    Any suggestions???

    Honda City has always had a relatively rough ride as compared to competition.

    i have a city also and the ride is very rough...well the only way u can make it slightly softer is by using yokohama db series tyres....those tyres will reduce the vibrations your car must make when u drive on rough roads...

    and s drive has a big block thread and makes a constant grrrrrrrrrrrr sound when you drive on road with slightly rough surface ......and hardness only compromises the shock absorbing abilities of the tyre ...it is the thread size and shape which determines the vibrations tht the tyre produce...

    ^^ hmm maybe .....bt mine has crossed 50k and its rattles alot more now !! (bt maybe the low profile tyres have increased the rate on disintegration interior parts)...and i truly believe tht db series does reduce road noise and rattles ( mind it i never meant bumpyness)

    Just for information....

    If you say Citys ride is bumpy and you car is new..there is no problem with your car...

    Honda damper setting are relatively higher than Liana/baleno/Corolla/suuny.

    But keep in mind, hard suspension better handling at high speed than all the above mentioned car...

    one more thing low profile tyres will make is worst for you.

    check your tyre pressure ... should be around 28-30 ... to get the right pressure for your car ... open your drivers door and look at the stcker on the body ... it will tell you the right pressure for the type of tyres you have installed.

    most mechanics fill it to 40 which makes it bumpy and also is bad for your suspension.

    I have installed S-Drive in my vitz. 195/50/R15 and you all know about Karachi roads how bumpy they are. My tyre pressure is 26psi, and my ride becomes more smooth than 28psi.

    @ahmadbila .....lol u like bumpy ride !! haha ...

    @manzoor .....dunno if there will be a difference in comfort/bumpiness by installing 15' ...but there will be an increase in grip thus better handling ...plus if you get tyres with a small block thread patter the rattling will be reduced slightly
