Default 15" alloy rims bad for new honda city?!

Hey guys my friends bro was saying that 15" alloys were harmful for the citys suspension?, any truth to that?, will 15" rims cause any long term damage, considering the car will be carefully driven..regards.

15inch rims are perfect for new city as far i think....city's suspension is good enough to take 15inch rims easily.....cheerz

    15's r fine for the City. Any model 96 - 04.
Just be careful about rim width and rubber width. Try to stay with 195mm for best performance. Anything wider might require minor mods especially when fully turning front wheels from lock to lock.

guys im basically not a racer...just concerned abt the logetivity of the car...what do u guys say, is it worth the price to get 15 inchers over 14?..cause if i get 14, i can get a pretty good sound system + better fuel average (even though its not a major concern, the car wont be running alot)..let me know what u guys think..regards..

2" bigger rims than the OEM size i.e. 13" should be fine any thing bigger and you will be compromising on alot of things i.e. power output, friction, fuel economy, drive ends(goday), drive arms , engine etc.

Offcourse you can put 17" inch rims on a car which came with 13" from factory but unless those 17" rims are specifically Jap racing rims e.g. racing harts etc which are really light in weight its not advisable to do so. Because most of the after market rims are heavier than OEM rims thus putting more pressure on driveend to move them.

Also another thing to rememebr is while changing the rims and tyres you have to make sure that overall Diameter of your new tyre + rim=OEM settigns or you will have to recalibirate the speedo accordingly.

nad bro pakhtun if its not in your blood to be a racer then even you put a jet engine in a car you will not become a racer. and that explains the difference between pimpin mobile, hot rods and modified jap cars.

akber, i think the 15 inches will look better, the handling on the road will be slightly beter but that depends on the tyres. but they might start cracking when the car hits the freaking khades at nelum colony. 14" will have a better ride.

as far as the speedometer goes, remember this. the biget the diameter of the tyre the higher the top speed but lower acc. and vice versa.
choosing betwwen 14, and 15. is not somthing u should be so concerned about. just go with the 15s. their is not really a BIG difference.

i can get u a elec blower, when I come. it adds 20hp, and is powered by stock batt. pretty cool

i have 17" on my city with lowered suspension. its been working perfectly fine since the past 11 months. it just depends on how u drive. i know alot of ppl who can destroy the suspension with 15" within 10 months.

if u are a very harsh drive who doesnt care of pot holes on the road , then i think stick to 14" with atleast 60 profile rubber on it.

if u are a safe drive who stops on every pothole , then u can go till 17 without any problem with 205/45.

    my 2 cents
