Default Honda City 2009 Driving Experience

Just to share real driving experience of City '09 that may be helpful to other prospective buyers. No need to discuss the looks, just the driving experience. If you are a Toyota lover, kindly refrain from posting here! This is not a new Honda vs Toyota arena!

My experience is with MT with stock rims and tyres and car has not completed its running!

    1- Steering is good

2- Gearing is not very good

3- Clutch feels too close to steering column and sometimes difficult to floor

4- Ride is not very bumpy but road noise is beyond acceptible range (could this be the stock tyres?)

5- Braking is good, haven't tried the ABS though!

    6- Seating is comfortable

7- Engine knocking in lower gears specially with A/C On

    8- A/C is pretty good

9- Fuel average is acceptible (11 - 12 Km/L in city) and probably will improve

That's it from my side for now. Please share your driving experience and ways to improve quality of ride!

Bhai, although i own a corolla 09, my friend has the city 09 and i have driven it a lot.

I absolutely love the stiff and nifty gearbox, its like the older model corollas. Soft gears, like in the previous city or new rolla, are just not me.

And i never experienced any knocking whatsoever. Make sure u r using quality petrol, and that ur changing the gears properly

Its a very very nice car with very little to complain about. All i had to complain about was the engine noise on CNG. It wasn't much, but whatever there was, was very unrefined and crude for a Honda with such poise.

On the whole, an excellent buy both for family and for youngsters
