Default What are the recommended tyres for City 09?

I want to replace the crappy stock tyres of my City '09. What size and brand should I go for? I'll be keeping the stock rims though as I do not want to mess up the fuel mileage. Your help in this regard would be appreciated. Thanks.

My apologies for the mistake. I've been observing a couple of Cities in Islamabad and a majority of them either have 185/65 or the 195/60. The 195 gives a very smart look to the City, so let's see which one is the winner here. It's a tough choice.

Just go for 195/60/15 any good brand of your choice. I thinks if you exchange 4 tyres, you should have to pay between 10 to 12 thousands. If you really want to replace the tyres then be quick as stock tyres only have the value, when they are new.

205 is too wide for city...it will splash mud all around and will give you lesser economy cause of its wider contact patch...i am using 205/65/15 in my '09 Oriel and they are ok for 1.8 engine but not for 1.3 i suppose. also 55 profile is gonna hurt your suspension
my advice would be max 195, either 65 or 60 series.
try the following tyres in order of priority:-
yoko DNA dB (hard to find)
    yoko C drive
    yoko A drive
    yoko A300 Aspec
sent from my HD2 without using the handset itself!!

I ended up buying the Yokohama AspecDB 185/65/13 this past Monday. I wanted to maintain the mileage so decided to choose this set of tyres. The braking has improved dramatically and noise levels have also dropped to a minimum. All in all, I'm quite satisfied with the performance. I'm still in the break in period so have a couple of more miles to cover before I take it out on my first long haul drive to Lahore.

Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.
