Default Vitz vs 2004 City Fuel consumption

    Hi,

I am buying a Used car and i have 2 choices, either early 2005 Honda City or 2003-4 Toyota Vitz

To make up my mind i have a question

Which one of the two is better in fuel consumption?

Also give other suggestions to help me choose the right car, price of both of them is pretty close ( City more expensive)

Please reply ASAP, as i want to finalize the car and dont have any means of transport currently, sold my Mehran

    Thanks

    - Yunus

city is totally a diff class.....it depend on ur needs....city a big ride....more spacious...comes in sedan class....has got every spare part availible....wont be a prob in selling even after 10 years.....

in simple words....city is a family car while vitz is a youngster ride...
btw i would have gone for city even i come in youngster section....cuz of it being bigger in size..

    for fuel eco...vitz is better

wat i noe is dat Honda City being 1.2 Manual gives 13 to 14 km/ liter average in city if driven tameez se.

same case is wid the Vitz.

but my foot is a lil heavy on the acelerator my Vitz manages to give me 10.0 average. in City being auto trany.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

the vitz is a competitor to the hatchback model of the city, so you shoudl compare the cithy to the platz/belta. the 2004 vitz can get up to 17 average if driven on long routes carefully but you should expect a combined average of aroudn 12 in real world terms.

if that was the case then the alto would be more fuel efficiant than the vitz,.. but it isn't.

    Auto: 8.5-9
    Steermatic: 8.5-9

    ok thanks guys

I think i'd go with Vitz as i heard that CNG cannot be installed in early 2005 city vario, while it works perfectly well on vitz 2003-4.

    Thanks

CNG is a black spot on all EFI cars. may it be a Vitz, City,

But can be worse in case of CIty Vario as statics say its transmission screws up.
