I second Ehsan here. My guess is brake pads. They either need to be changed or serviced.

you are in for very very serious trouble. you car can stop and stop for good till u spend a lot of money on it. trust me. pray for the car. do something.

the car is heading for transmission failure. the engine for gasket replacement or smthing. the good thing is every part and service is available to u.

first of all do not run your car on CNG. second take the car to honda and get its transmission overhauled. thirdly do something about the mixing of oil in water. fourth never buy a car from an army personnel and for that matter from anyone unless u can judge the condition of the car. do as i say ASAP or get a standby car readyyy.

there is only one clutch pack in this tranny - just to keep the car stationary in D - nothing else, the rest high torque application is handled by the CVT pulleys and belts and the incoming firing shocks of a 4 cylinder engine are controlled by the springs in the drive plate, If your tranny is making noise at idle you need a new drive plate and/or a new primary clutch pack.

Drive plate is available new but you can forget a clutch pack, Honda wont sell you that.

If you got oil in the rad and its tranny fluid, you also must have coolant in the tranny also - Say hello to dead tranny and your bank account will divorce you leaving you broke; IF you dont get it throughly checked and flushed.

If its engine oil in the rad - you have a bad headgasket, regular fix, no worries about going bankrupt on that.

the primary clutch is inside the tranny and needs to be fully dismantled to replace, Its the first pack behind the bell housing but also houses the parking pawl which is actuated from the back of the tranny (**** honda design) I doubt workshops will ever change that clutch pack - I had a few dead CVT trannys from which I cannibalised parts from to fix other CVTs

The drive plate is where the torque convertor of a conventional auto would be - its replaceable easily - it usually sounds like a rattlecan if its springs compress and sieze

the CVT clutch pack is not available new, nor is the CVT belt/pulley assy - best find a used jap tranny and recalibrate the first clutch - because it has a lower tooth count compared to the pak delivered model

    Hi Guys,

I have a Prosmatic 05, it makes a squeeking sound in R with the brakes pressed but not in any other gear. When you leave the brake its fine. I had the front brake pads changed a month ago. The shift is smooth, soundless and the transmission response is excellent. Had the ATF changed at 40k as prescribed and the milleage now is 61k. Any suggesntions/feedback/comments
