Default My recent Mileage Check (Daewoo Racer) in City.

Hi all , i just check CNG mileage for my Daewoo Racer without AC , Engine is 1.5 SOHC Stock. (Never been overhauled) just change head gasket last year. Silencer was damaged so just replaced by new one (Not Daewoo's Original) for accurately mileage check i filled of Rs.200/- gas in empty cylinder (60Kg) so filled 3.6 kg gas. i have driven in rwp city (Faizabad to Rehmanabad, Airport road, Islamabad Highway , Khanna Road) facing many signals but driven in "INSANI STYLE". Accurate mileage is 72.9km. 20.25 Km per KG, cost is Rs.0.36 per Km. These are facts and figures . the Insani Style reason is also count. i never exceed 80 km speed. never pressed full accelator as youngester did.

Dear Please make a little correction which will make a lot of difference.
    it should not be 72.9/200=0.36Rs
    Actually It is 200/72.9 = 2.74Rs.

    Still a nice mileage though

I had lancer GV company fitted CNG. Now removed because turbocharged it. I use to get 100-110Km with ac in traffic of Karachi. Yaar I can't understand how does the insani style on CNG may vary the mileage ? I am not talking about petrol. Until and unless you install CNG injectors controlled with ECU according to RPM ? Because in normal CNG kits in which venturi is used there is just one flow of CNG weather you drive at high rpm or low rpm dosage remains the same. If it was controlled by CNG injectors so you can say it vary because at high RPM injector would open high CNG dosage. But in venturi its not the case . Please clear it.

last month i went to lahore from rwp via GT road, i oftenly kept soft foot on accelator, means never pressed full accelator any time, short timely shifting the gears and never crossed 90 km/h speed. i checked my meter after gujranwala turn and it was 250 km and still car is running on CNG (means there was some cng in cylinder). but on return to rwp i keep my ride 100-120 km/h , pressed full accelator and long timely change the gears to get a fast pick , overtaking , many time sudden pressed the brakes and than sudden press full accelator (bad driving habbits) then i achieved less than 200 km in a cylinder. so good driving habbit playing a role in good mileage. so thats my experience.

I dont know if some one will believe my Daewoo Racer Figures :-D But these are real

    CNG ( 55- Cyl)
Within Islamabad with AC = 120-130 KMs
Within Islamabad without AC = 130-145 KMs

    Highway ( 80-100 KM/Hr) = 200-210 KMs
    Highway ( 100-120 KM/Hr) = 170-185 KMs
    Highway (120-150 KM/Hr) = 140-150 KMs

For calculating Petrol averages you need to fill up the whole tank and then take averages on next fill up. So I have only done this a few times.

    Within City = 10 KM / Litter
Highway = 12-14 KM per litter depending on drive style.

My best average on petrol on motorway ( speed never crossed 100) while I drove from Faisalabad to Islamabad was 15 KM per litter which was amazing.

Yes, it seems more of a highway than a city driving. Khanna Pul and Faizabad to Rehmanabad may feel something closer to Khi traffic, but other routes mentioned by poster can be termed as highway routes.

    DAEWOO 93, engine overhauled:
i recently travelled from lahore to RWP with an speed of 100-110 with occassionally full pressing of accelerator.
On both sides of travelling it consumed CNG of Rs of 700 with AC, means Rs 2.5/Km.
