    Default Installed CNG in my CIty 2010 PICS

    Hey Guys,

    I installed CNG kit over the weekend and so far so good. I am enjoying the ride and you guys will be surprised that it wont do any knocking on CNG which it normally does on Petrol. So far my car is in testing phase meaning that I am calculating the mileage and stuff. But again the pick and response time is pretty good.

    For all those who says you will ruin your engine life or City 2010 dont deserve CNG and bla bla bla. My answer will be "I just can not afford current petrol prices these days, as I have to run 100km/day."

    There you go with the pictures.

    I PM you all the details and yes I got all original Landi renzo kit along with the Emulator. Advancer is not required on this model but yes you can get it if you need one. My car is running perfectly without Advancer.

    In the End, its not 1.8 it is 1.3

    @vik

    Actually main thing is you can have good drive without trouble, thats it if you feel good with CNG then CNG is good for you, and if you feel bad for CNG then Petrol and Diesel is out.
    Enjoy your ride putting CNG in car is solely Owner Decision as whom the money have the decision power. peoples driving LC/CYGNUS on CNG then whts wrong with those City or Corolla or Civic.

    no advancer???
    yes the timing is controlled by ecu in thez ultra new engines, but remember they are STILL optimised for petrol performance. Though that may be enough (ecu senses no knocking or pre-detonation so it advances till max limit), i personally think an advancer with +2 or +4 degree timing advance would work wonders...

    I agree with you. so far I am running it with out advancer however I do have a brand new advancer with me which I got from the CNG fitter as my previous CIty 2007 had one in it so I thought this City might need one.

    As the guy who work at CNG center in pretty well experienced and he did some courses/training from Italy. He suggested me not to use in this city as not required but if you wanna fulfill your desire then you can put one anytime.

    So far I didnt feel if that is a must requirement as I am pretty satisfied with the pick of my car in initial gears.

    Dude no knocking at all, it does knock on petrol only but not on CNG, and I didn't get your 2nd question related to speed, are you interested in mileage or max speed on ODO.

    after that w'll go on a 220 km drive any where in a full cylinder of cng
    no fill ups . and then you will be amazed i suppose that a GLi 2007 .immaculately kept and properly tunned with a light foot on throttle and AC on can easily do the above stated milage .why can't a brand new city ??????

    I happen to come across this thread today, and i would like to add that i agree that CNG is a nice add on to the car just like rims and other add ons, but it does ruin your car. it is like installing very fat tyres on ur car, they will give u a good road grip but ur brakes will be pushed to the limit. cars are built for petrol and we should use them in that. i read the calculations that some of u guys did in this thread and they do not contain the price of petrol that u consume when u start your car, nor does that include the price of tuning ur car to get better CNG, every now and then, and nor does it include the price of damage that CNG does to ur engine in the long run. if u take consider all these items then u will see that CNG is way way way more expensive than petrol in the long run. u may be happy about filling ur tank on cng and getting 200kms on it (and that would also be a world record on a 1.3 ltr car) this week, but after 4 weeks when that kit will require tunning and maintenance, then u will end up spending way more than what petrol users spend. but u dont have to listen to me, i am just putting forward my thoughts. u can continue using cng all u want, but i think CNG is atleast a little better on smaller cars as they do not require so much tuning up that 1.3lts cars need. rest is upto u guys, its ur money spend it the way u think is best.
