Default Honda City IDSI on CNG

Hi Guys,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />

I am thinking to install CNG in my Honda City IDSI 2008.
I need some feedback that how good this car is on CNG and what are the issues (if any). Furthermore which conversation centre should I go to install CNG. (LHR)
I am thinking to put 60 KG single cylinder OR 2 cylinders of 30KG each.

Any suggestions are more than welcome.

Thanks

@sid,
i got my kit from amina cng saidpur road pindi.
take written gurantee when u get this that its genuine. they dont like giving gurantee for electronics though!
Actually 'emulator' only emulates the signal of petrol injector to the vehicle's on-board ECU, though the injector has been turned off when cng is being used. Engine will not run if both petrol and gas go together as the fuel will become too rich.
Cheers.

With all due respect, i have driven a car without emulator.
it does not give check light or anything and the car runs perfect.
but all u see is the fuel guage needle dropping even if u drive constantly on CNG

Emulator cuts off the signal to the injectors

this can also be done by a simple relay job by a good electrician. but emulator way is a more civilized method to do that

Its good that you are happy with your City IDSI on CNG. I have also heard that this car performs good on CNG.

@ All

Still didn't get a chance to travel through GT Road OR @ 100 KMs/Hr speed through motorway to check the minimum CNG consumption.

Did 2 trips to ISB within last 3 weeks... both of them were through motorway and almost all the time the speed were 120 to 140 KM/Hr

From Lahore to ISB it did 185 KMs in cylinder the speed was @120
but From ISB to LHR I filled the CNG from a station at Faizabad and most of the time the speed was 140 and it still did 198 KMs.

So I've no doubts that it can give 250 KMs in 1 cylinder @ 100 KMs/H speed or RPM @ 3

Regards

Does Honda city have adjustable tappets? I guess it is very important to have adjustable tappets for a CNG car.

Hi Alee1 - I am also planning to convert my 2005 Honda City iDSi to CNG - wanted to check whether it is still running fine for you - also wanted to check whether you would suggest an open loop, closed loop or sequential kit for the car, and in particular - I have heard there is a lot of instances of the check engine light coming on in this model after CNG conversion - did you face this issue, and if so what was done about it. Thanks!
